A good gardener knows when it is time to prune parts of a crop in order to produce a better yield. God knows the areas of our lives that need to be pruned, as well, in order to reveal the best versions of ourselves. Sometimes it is something sinful that must be pruned because it is hindering our growth. Other times it may be something good that is getting in the way. Abiding in Christ means embracing the correction that comes from God in order to produce a great spiritual harvest.

What if God removing something from your life doesn’t mean He’s done with you? What if He’s actually preparing you to grow?

This Sunday, we’re continuing our ABIDE series through John 15 with “Jesus Is the Gardener.”

Jesus tells us that God cuts away what is dead, but He also prunes what is already fruitful so it can become even more fruitful. And sometimes, if we’re being real, pruning doesn’t feel like growth. It just feels like something is being taken away.

But the Gardener sees what we can’t see yet.
Join us this Sunday as we talk about trusting God in the pruning, remaining connected to Jesus, and allowing Him to shape our lives into something that bears lasting fruit.
