Happy Labor Day from St. Christopher Parish!

As we celebrate Labor Day, we give thanks for the many gifts, talents, and skills that God has given us and for all those whose work serves our families, our community, and one another.

May we also remember those who are seeking employment, those who struggle to provide for their families, and those whose work often goes unnoticed.

May God bless the work of our hands and grant everyone a safe and restful Labor Day.

On the feast of St. Augustine, we celebrate one of the great teachers of the Church.

Augustine’s long search for truth led him to Christ and into the life of the Church. As bishop of Hippo, his preaching and writings would leave a profound mark on the Church’s understanding of Scripture, grace, the Christian life, and our final end in God.
