MEET YOUR LEADERSHIP - P2 LEAD // MORGAN
Morgan is joining us for her FOURTH summer as a member of our summer staff, and her SECOND summer as a lead for Philippians 2 team. Morgan is originally from Sumner, Iowa but now lives right here in Pella! Morgan's favorite summer activity is campfires, and she's most excited to teach P2 team in what it means to be servant-hearted like Christ this summer. A fun fact about Morgan is that she's hikes the Himalayan Mountains, and her unpopular opinion is that it's never too early to start listening to Christmas music. When Morgan was little, she wanted to be the person to name crayon colors - but we're happy she keeps sticking around Lake View!😁 Morgan's favorite Bible verse is Philippians 1:21, which says "For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." We're so thankful for you & your leadership, Morgan! Welcome back!

MEET YOUR PHILIPPIANS 2 TEAM // MIRIAM
Miriam is joining us for her FIRST official summer as a member of our P2 team, but we've loved her for years as both a camper & an Angel Tree service counselor! Miriam is from Pella, Iowa and just finished her sophomore year at Pella Christian High School. Miriam loves to go on summer adventures with her friends, and she's most looking forward to seeing the ways in which God teaches her when she's teaching kids at camp. When Miriam was little, she always wanted to be an author, and she thinks that a hotel pool is the best smell in the world (how about the smell of the camp pool??😁). Miriam's unpopular opinion is that salad is better with no dressing & pasta is best eaten with just butter on it (do you agree??). Miriam's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 31:22, which says "In my alarm I said, 'I am cut off from your sight!' Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.” Thank you Miriam, for joining us this summer! We are excited to have you!

MEET YOUR PHILIPPIANS 2 TEAM // PEYTON
Peyton is joining us for her SECOND summer as a member of our P2 team, but she's been a familiar face at camp for years! Peyton is from Aplington-Parkersburg, and she just finished her sophomore year of high school at AP High School! Peyton's favorite summer activity is to swim, and she is most looking forward to spending time with her camp friends and growing in her relationship with God this summer. During the school year, Peyton is involved in both volleyball and soccer, and when she was little she always wanted to be a hairstylist! Peyton's favorite Bible verses are Luke 6:32-36, where Jesus teaches people about the kind of radical love He desires from us. Thanks for joining us for another summer, Peyton. We're excited to have you back on the team!

MEET YOUR PHILIPPIANS 2 TEAM // OLIVER
Oliver is joining us for his SECOND summer as a member of our P2 team - although he's been coming to camp every summer as a camper for years! Oliver is from Vinton, Iowa where he just finished his junior year at Vinton-Shellsburg High School. Oliver's favorite summer activity is to fish (ask him about it, he REALLY loves to fish!!😁), and he is most excited to serve God by serving others this summer. The first thing Oliver wanted to be when he grew up was a police officer, and his favorite smell is his great aunt's seafood boil on the Fourth of July! Oliver's favorite Bible verses are Romans 3:23-24, which remind us that everyone has sinned, but we are justified by grace that has been given to us through Jesus Christ. We are excited to work with you for another summer, Oliver!

MEET YOUR PHILIPPIANS 2 TEAM // KEIRA
Keira is joining us for her FIRST summer as a member of our P2 team, but we've known her as a camper for a long time. Keira is from Grundy Center, Iowa, and she just finished her sophomore year at Grundy Center High School. Keira loves to kayak & canoe, and she is most excited to build relationships and grow in her faith this summer! Keira loves kiddos - she even has 8 nieces and nephews! Outside of the summer, Keira works at a coffee shop and loves to read in her free time. The farthest places that Keira has ever travelled to are England & Scotland, and Keira loves the smell of coffee beans! Keira's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 34:5, which says “Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces." We are excited to spend this summer with you, Keira!!

Michael is joining us for his FIRST summer as a Philippians 2 member, but he's been coming to camp for years as a camper! Michael is from New Sharon, Iowa and he just completed his sophomore year of high school. Michael loves to golf and fish when the weather is nice, and he also loves to sing! Michael's unpopular opinion is that Sasquatch is real, and the farthest place that Michael has ever been to is Canada. Before Michael worked in the Philippians 2 Team, he wanted to be a Technical Machinist. Michael's favorite Bible verse is Romans 1:7, which says "To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ." Emersyn is joining us for her FIRST summer as a member of our P2 Team, but she has been coming to camp as a camper for years! Emersyn is from Vinton, Iowa and finished her sophomore year of high school. Emersyn's favorite summer activity is swimming, and she is most excited to spend time in Christian community to worship this summer! The first thing that Emersyn wanted to be when she grew up was a teacher, and the farthest place that Emersyn has ever travelled to is the Bahamas. Emersyn's favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 2:19, which says "Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: 'The Lord knows those who are his,' and, 'Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.' We're glad you're joining us this summer, Emersyn!

In TWO DAYS our 2026 summer staff will be volunteering at the Pella Pizza Ranch for a Tip Night! We will be serving food, bussing tables, restocking the buffet, & engaging with guests from 4-8 pm. Come this Thursday, May 28th with hungry tummies and extra cash - all cash tips go straight to Lake View!! See you there!

MEET YOUR PHILIPPIANS 2 TEAM // GAVIN
Gavin is joining us for his SECOND summer as a member of our Philippians 2 Team! If you don't know, the Philippians 2 Team is our high school program in which students learn leadership skills through work behind-the-scenes & in cabins at our camp. Gavin just finished his sophomore year at Vinton-Shellsburg High School. While Gavin lives in Vinton now, he spent most of his younger years living in Utah with his family! Gavin's favorite summer activity is church camp (good answer!!), and he is most looking forward to seeing kids make the same connection with the Gospel that he did when he was a young camper at camp. When Gavin was little, he wanted to own an amusement park like Walt Disney! Gavin's favorite Bible passage is Psalm 103, which is a psalm of praise to our God!! We're excited to have you back, Gavin!
