Immanuel Reformed Fellowship

Immanuel Reformed Fellowship is a ministry of the Reformed Church in the United States, under the care of Covenant Reformed Church in Gettysburg, PA. The RCUS once had a vibrant presence in Iowa that goes back to the late 1800s. Most earlier RCUS church fellowships would enfold into the Evangelical and Reformed merger and eventually become UCC. With IRF, the faithful, historic RCUS remnant is retu

rning to the area after more than an eighty year absence. The RCUS is a member of NAPARC (North American Presbyterian and Reformed Council). Immanuel Reformed Fellowship is a confessional church, embracing above all the Word of God along with the subordinating confessions: the Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort. We are a fellowship that holds to the preaching of the Word as the primary means of Grace. We are not stodgy or traditional in the sense that worship is perfunctory. We are a warm group that sincerely loves each other according to Galatians 6:2– “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” We consciously adhere to the Regulative Principle of Worship in which worship is vertical (God speaks from His Word and His people respond with prayer and praise) and not horizontal (individuals perform on some worship stage). Join us if you are interested in a simple worship service that corporately gathers in the presence God with reverence and awe. Our service begins at 9:30 AM. Seasonal education programming follows the morning service. Our broader outreach (Mariaska Ministries) includes Marion and Mahaska Counties, where we bring worship and spiritual care to a number of senior residential communities and to individuals of all ages in need.
