Mark your calendars for June 9th at 6pm!
Reminder- Just a quick reminder about our Men’s and Women’s Ministry gathering.

We will be having a potluck-style meal, so please bring a dish to share (desserts are always welcomed too). To make things easier on everyone, if you and your spouse/significant other are attending together, you only will not have to bring multiple dishes.
We will set up the food in the back of the dining hall, and everyone can make a plate there. The men and women will still go to their meeting rooms for the evening’s fellowship, discussion, and lesson.
We’re looking forward to a wonderful night together. If you have any questions, please let us know. We hope to see you there!

Worried about being judged when you walk into church? At Oaks Church of God, you’ll find people from all walks of life, people with a past, people with struggles, and people who know that God’s grace changes lives.
We believe no one should be judged by their appearance, their mistakes, or where they are in their journey. We all come to Jesus the same way: in need of His love, mercy, and grace.
If you’ve been thinking about coming to church but have been hesitant, we’d love to welcome you just as you are.
“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7

Whatever is keeping you awake at night, weighing on your heart, or constantly on your mind, don't lose hope. Not every answer comes immediately, and not every problem is solved overnight. Sometimes, while you're worrying about how things will work out, God is already making a way where you cannot yet see one.
Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep moving forward one day at a time. The situation you're stressing about today may become the testimony you're grateful for tomorrow.
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7

What’s Holding You Back From Going to Church
Is it a busy schedule?
A past hurt?
Feeling like you don’t belong?
Thinking you need to “get your life together” first?
Whatever it is, you’re not alone.
Church isn’t a place for perfect people, it’s a place for people seeking hope, healing, grace, and a closer walk with God.
This Sunday, take that first step. You are welcome here, just as you are.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
We’d love to worship with you at Oaks Church of God. ❤️

June is not just a turning of the calendar, it’s a reminder that God is still present in every letter of our lives. This month, I’m not stepping into uncertainty, I’m stepping into truth: I am held, I am loved, I am never alone.

People love to say, “What hurt you made you stronger.” But sometimes pain doesn’t make you stronger at all. Sometimes it leaves you exhausted, anxious, bitter, numb, or barely holding yourself together. Some battles don’t build you, they break you. What made the difference was Jesus. Jesus met me in the middle of the grief, the confusion, the disappointment, and the silent nights nobody knew about. He stayed when I felt abandoned. He carried me when I had no strength left to carry myself. He reminded me that being shattered was not the end of my story.
The pain destroyed parts of me.
The pride.
The illusion of control.
The version of me that thought I could survive without God.
But Jesus rebuilt me.
Piece by piece.
Prayer by prayer.
Grace by grace.
Not into who I was before, but into someone more dependent on Him, more compassionate, more grounded, and more aware of His presence than ever before.
No, I don’t glorify the pain.
I glorify the Savior who walked with me through it and refused to leave me there.

Sometimes we forget how intentional God’s timing really is. The sea didn’t part a moment too early or too late. Joseph wasn’t freed before the prison shaped him or after hope was gone. Jesus didn’t rise on a random day, but on the exact day Heaven had already written. And that same God is holding your story.
If you feel like you’re waiting… you’re not overlooked. If things feel delayed… they’re not denied. If your prayers seem unanswered… Heaven is not silent. God is not late, and He is never rushed. He works with purpose, precision, and perfect love. What feels slow to you is often God preparing everything and everyone to align for your good and His glory. Rest your heart. Trust the Author. The One who wrote miracles into history is still writing miracles into lives. Including yours. Your breakthrough will come at the right time. Your healing will come at the right time. Your promise will unfold at the right time. Until then, keep showing up.
God is faithful… and His timing is perfect.

God is not just a name we speak on Sundays, He is our Creator, our Savior, our peace in chaos, and our strength when we feel weak. He is faithful even when life is uncertain. He is full of mercy, grace, and unfailing love. God sees every tear, hears every prayer, and knows every burden we carry before we even speak it. He is the One who walks with us through heartbreak, celebrates with us in joy, and never leaves us alone in the middle of our storms. When the world changes, God remains the same, constant, holy, loving, and true. God is our refuge in fear, our hope in darkness, and our reminder that no situation is too broken for His power. His love is deeper than our pain and greater than our past. No matter where you are today, God’s arms are still open, His grace is still enough, and His promises still stand.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
