Here's a sight that most campers at OVCC won't get to see--dogwood trees in bloom at the campground! They are just green during regular camping season. This photo doesn't show them during the bloom peak when they are really beautiful, part of God's glorious creation. Campers, in case you are wondering where they are located, they are right behind the flagpoles; you can see the boy's dorm in the background.
The 2025 Camp Program Booklet and Registration Form are now available for download on the website, www.ovccamp.org. This year's schedule is:
Senior High, June 22 - 27;
Junior High & Intermediate, July 6 - 11;
First Chance, July 6 - 8.
Camp Kick-Off Rally is June 8.

OVCC has announced its 2022 camp season plans! There will be one combined week of camp, June 19 - 24, with the two-night First Chance Camp being the 19 - 21 and Intermediate and Junior High camps continuing the rest of the week. Separate classes will be provided for each age group. Camp Kick-Off Rally is June 12. For full details, see the web site at ovccamp.org .

OVCC has had to modify our 2021 season, based on pre-registration numbers. We think the results will be good.
We will not be conducting "First Chance" camp. "Junior High" camp will merge with "Intermediate" camp, with separate class and housing arrangements.
The combined Intermediate camp will take place the week of July 18-23. Please pray for a good camping experience.

OVCC is planning a 2021 camping program! We are really looking forward to this, after the 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID19 situation. This year's camps will be in mid-July, to allow more time for the pandemic to subside. The schedule is:
First Chance Camp (2nd & 3rd graders): July 15 -17;
Intermediate Camp (4-5-6 graders): July 18 - 23;
Junior High Camp (7-8-9 graders): July 11 - 15.
Camp Kick-Off Rally is June 27.
Pre-registration deadline is June 17. Full details on the OVCC web site.

2020 OVCC Camping Season cancelled!
Sad to say, but with the directives from the Governor's office, the Board of Trustees has reluctantly cancelled the 2020 camping season due to the COVID-19 problem. We are considering doing an all-ages Family Camp this Fall, if conditions allow. And we will plan to be back next year!

Will we have camp at OVCC this summer, in view of the COVID-19 situation? That's a question that we plan to answer by the end of April. We hope to have summertime guidance by then from the Health agencies, and would also like to have feedback from campers and parents. Here's the planned OVCC camp schedule for 2020:
First Chance Camp (for those entering grades 2 & 3): Sunday June 28 - Tuesday June 30.
Intermediate Camp (for those entering grades 4-6): Sunday June 21 - Friday June 26.
Junior High (for those entering grades 7 - 9): Sunday June 14 - Friday June 19.
Senior High Retreat (new this year!): Friday June 12 - Sunday June 14.
Camp Kick-Off Rally is Sunday afternoon June 7.

Many of you will remember Warren "Robby" Robbins, who was minister at the Aurora Christian Church for 25 years and a wonderful leader at OVCC. Robby helped so much during the early, struggling years of OVCC and I believe OVCC would not exist today if not for his efforts. He loaned the Camp money and put his home on the mortgage in order for the Camp to survive. Besides that kind of support, Robby was a wonderful Camp Dean and spiritual leader/mentor, both to the youth at Camp and also to those of us who were young adult church leaders at the time. Robby passed away on July 8 at the age of 98.
His memorial service will be July 27. Here's a link to the obituary:

The obituary notes that Robby preached his last sermon at the age of 97. He was an inspiring minister of the Gospel.

Warren A. Robby Robbins went to be with his Lord July 8, 2019, while surrounded by family at Meadow Lakes Assisted Living, Mooresville, IN. He was 98 years old and died of natural causes. Warren was born in Belleville, KS March 30, 1921 to Earl William and Frankie Jane Thomas
