I did not write this. I copied and pasted.
It’s something to think about..

I wonder how different churches would look if Christians stopped asking whether a church was “meeting our needs” and started asking whether we were meeting anyone else’s.

Because almost every church has unmet needs.

Children need teachers.

Teenagers need mentors.

Young parents need older couples.

Widows need friends.

New believers need discipleship.

Struggling families need meals.

Lonely people need invitations.

Pastors need encouragement.

Communities need people willing to serve.

But Christians leave churches because ministries are missing when they may be exactly the people God could use to build those ministries.

We see the absence of ministries as evidence that we should leave.

What if sometimes the absence is an invitation?

mature Christianity recognizes that sometimes the thing frustrating you may be the very thing God is calling you to help repair.

The consumer asks, “Why doesn’t somebody do something about this?”

The disciple asks, “Why not me

Our Sunday morning devotional

Sometimes life gets hard.
Sometimes things don’t go the way we planned.
Sometimes it feels like one thing happens, and before we can catch our breath, something else happens.
And there are moments when we look at our situation and think,
“Lord, I don’t know what to do.”
But I want to remind you of something this morning:
You may not know what to do, but God does.
Psalm 46:1 says:
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
I love those words:
“A very present help.”
That means when you’re in trouble, God isn’t far away.
When your heart is heavy, He’s present.
When you’re afraid, He’s present.
When you don’t understand, He’s present.
When it feels like everything around you is falling apart, God is still there.
Sometimes we think being strong means never getting tired, never crying, or never feeling afraid.
But real strength isn’t pretending that everything is okay.
Real strength is being able to say,
“Lord, I don’t have all the answers, but I know You.”
Maybe you walked through those doors today carrying something nobody else knows about.
Maybe you’re smiling, but you’re hurting.
Maybe you’re believing God for something you’ve been praying about for a long time.
Whatever you’re carrying, I want you to know this:
You don’t have to carry it by yourself.
God is here. His presence is here.
His Word is here. And His grace is here.
So when things go wrong let’s quiet our hearts and remember:
The storm doesn’t change who God is.
The problem doesn’t change who God is.
The uncertainty doesn’t change who God is.
He is still our refuge. He is still our strength. And He is still with us.
So let’s open our hearts today and allow God to speak to us.
Because sometimes, when everything around us is falling apart, God is doing His deepest work within us.

What do you do when everthing seems to be going wrong, when you pray and nothing seems to change, when you believe in God but the situation keeps getting worse? You keep your faith, no matter what.
