⏰ Friendly Reminder: Fall Back This Weekend! 🍂

Join us for worship at Divine Shepherd this weekend, Saturday at 5:00 PM or Sunday at 8:15 or 10:00 AM!

Before you head to bed Saturday night, don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour. Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, November 1. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep!❤️🙌

And no, Pastor Brent… you don’t get an extra hour to preach. 😂 Special thanks to our in-house comedian member for sharing… 😉

🧡 Some things truly are sweeter than candy. 🎃

There’s a moment somewhere between the candy, costumes, and chaos when you stop and think, We needed this.

Watching your kids run from trunk to trunk. Catching up with a friend. Meeting a new neighbor. Sharing a meal and laughing together. Sometimes, you don’t realize how much you need a night like this until you’re right in the middle of it.

Tonight, our parking lot was filled with creative trunks and excited kids, while the gym buzzed with food, games, activities, and families making memories. From Noah’s Ark and a shark attack to a buzzing beehive and a taco truck shouting “Taco ’bout Jesus,” there was fun around every corner!

This is what community looks like. And this is what church is about.

For over 50 years, Divine Shepherd has been rooted in the heart of Millard. Generations have worshiped here, raised their families, served their neighbors, and grown together in Christ. Today, we continue that mission—welcoming new faces, serving our community, and sharing the love of Jesus in everyday life.

This is your community.
This is your church. 🧡Rooted in Christ. Growing together.

Loving God.
Sharing Jesus.
Serving people.

Thank you to everyone who made tonight possible! Another memorable night.

Have you been wondering what it means to belong to Divine Shepherd?

Maybe you're new to Divine Shepherd. Maybe you're transferring from another congregation. Or maybe you've been attending Divine Shepherd for months, for years, and are ready to move from being a regular attender to becoming a member of the Body of believers God has gathered together.

Join us this coming Sunday, November 1, 2026, for our next New Member Class, an intensive course to become a member.

This class is for all adults, including college-age students and high schoolers, as well as anyone who missed Confirmation or would like a refresher on what we believe, teach, and confess. It's also a great chance to get to know the Pastor and bring the questions that have been on your mind.

We'll survey the teachings of the Christian faith and talk about how Divine Shepherd, the Body of believers gathered by Christ, comes together to walk with one another, support one another, and lead our households.

🎄 CHRISTMAS IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER… AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! EVERYONE'S HELP! ❤️

The holiday season is almost here, and this year, Divine Shepherd has some wonderful opportunities to make Christmas a little brighter for children and families, both right here in our community and around the world!

But we can't do it without YOU!

Right now, we have gifts to buy, Christmas wishes to fulfill, boxes to pack, and plenty of volunteer opportunities to fill.

And here's the exciting part… IT ALL STARTS THIS WEEKEND!

1. 🎁 OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD — SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1!

We're hosting our FIRST EVER Operation Christmas Child Packing Party, and our goal is to pack 200 shoeboxes filled with gifts for children around the world!

Think about that for a moment. Two hundred children receiving a Christmas gift, perhaps an unexpected one, and through the work of local ministries, an opportunity to hear about the greatest gift of all… JESUS!

We need people of ALL ages to help! Purchase items from our Amazon Wish List, help organize supplies, join us for the packing party, or help deliver the completed boxes. So check out the gift list below right away.

2. ❤️ ANGEL TREE CHRISTMAS 2026

Christmas can be especially difficult for children who have a mom or dad in prison. Through Angel Tree, we have had the privilege, year after year, of helping children receive Christmas gifts on behalf of their incarcerated parents, while sharing the love and hope of Jesus with their families.

And there are SO MANY ways to be part of this beautiful ministry!

We need help coordinating, connecting with families, purchasing presents, sorting and wrapping gifts, delivering gifts, and helping with the many little details that make Christmas special.

Whether you have an entire afternoon or just a little time to give, there is a place for you! We also appreciate donations toward gifts and shipping.

🎄 See how you can help with Angel Tree:

NOW… HERE'S OUR INVITATION TO YOU!
Whatever event grabs your attention, make it a party. Bring your family. Invite a friend, neighbor, coworker, or someone who may not have a church home. Bring your kids and grandkids! What a wonderful opportunity to serve together, meet new people, and show our children what it looks like to love and care for others.

You don't have to be a member of Divine Shepherd to participate. Our entire greater Omaha community is invited!

Imagine what we can accomplish when hundreds or thousands of people come together, each doing a little something, to share the love of Jesus.

Behind every gift is a child. Behind every child is a family. And behind all of this is an opportunity to remind someone that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.

This is what Christmas is all about. The greatest gift has already been given to us in Jesus Christ. Now we have the joy of sharing His love with others.

So, Divine Shepherd family, friends, and neighbors throughout Omaha… WE NEED YOU!

Let's fill those volunteer opportunities, purchase those gifts, invite our friends, and make this Christmas season something truly special!

❤️ Love God. Share Jesus. Serve People.
