St. Luke United Methodist Church, Omaha

St. Luke United Methodist Church, Omaha We seek to live purposefully, grow in faith, and serve God and our community. We offer two distinct worship services on Sunday Mornings. At St. St.

We embrace people of all races, ages, cultures, religious backgrounds, marital/social/economic status, physical/mental abilities, sexual orientation and gender identities. Both services include a time to ask any "God question" on your mind. Our Casual Service is at 9:00 AM in the Great Room. This service features a more relaxed environment, a limited liturgy, and a very lively energy level...and o

f course plenty of coffee and donuts at every table. Our Liturgical Service is at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary. This service features liturgy, congregational singing, an outstanding Choir and Bell Choir, and occassional instrumental music. Coffee and donuts are provided before and after worship

Our congregation offers a wide array of opportunities for persons of all ages to become involved. Luke, worship and preaching relates the timeless truths of the scriptures to our lives with integrity. Service opportunities for adults and excellent programs for children and youth are overseen by experienced staff and numerous adult volunteers. Luke has a distinct tradition of exploring the Bible, theological concepts, and Christian discipleship in a manner that fully engages present day insights and scholarship in our journeying together with God. We believe a strong faith is one that allows for critical thinking and at the same time engages us in mission and ministry to the world. Luke we celebrate our diversity and open our doors to all persons. Our congregation is comprised of members from different backgrounds and belief traditions. Together we seek to be a church with "open hearts, open minds, and open doors."

Whether you are currently caring for a loved one, have experienced the loss of someone close to you or want to prepare for future caregiving responsibilities, you are welcome here.

This peer-led group provides a safe and supportive space to share experiences, resources, challenges and encouragement with others who understand the caregiving and grief journey. The group is not intended to provide professional medical, legal or mental health advice.

Conversation, compassion and mutual support are at the heart of our gatherings. Everyone is welcome.

Next Meeting: This Saturday, June 27 from 1:30–3:00pm in St. Luke's Great Room (use upper parking lot and bell tower doors).

How many people can you name who live around you? This summer, let's grow that number!!!

Retro Connect is all about building stronger community connections right where we live. Sometimes the best friendships and support systems are just a few doors away.

Challenge yourself to take a simple step: Invite neighbors to a block party in your driveway. Keep it simple. Hand out invites, make a sign, grill hot dogs, set out a yard game, and personally invite neighbors to gather. It doesn’t have to be big to make a big impact. If you're thinking bigger, be sure to check local regulations.

Stronger neighborhoods begin with simple connections. Who will you meet this summer? For more info, visit https://stlukeumc.com/news/retro-connect
