Never have we ever been without a Shepherd.
Jesus has always been there to lead and guide us, to guard and protect us, to feed and refresh us in the green pastures of his Word and the quiet waters of his Gospel.
And this Shepherd who laid down his life for us only to take it up again continues to give some to be pastors and teachers to prepare God's people for works of service so that the body of Christ might be built up.

Always be prepared.

That reason and being prepared to give it both come from the Word of God.

The Spirit will assure us of the certain hope that we have in Christ. And that same Spirit will bless both us and his Word as we live and share it in the world.
