I am grateful to God for the gift of Catholic education and was honored to be with the St. Wenceslaus School community in Dodge Sunday, as they marked the completion of their 115th and final school year. We celebrated Mass together, and everyone appreciated the beautiful music provided from the St. Wenceslaus children's choir. We heard reflections from both adults and a graduating sixth-grader about the importance of St. Wenceslaus School in their lives. I was grateful for the presence of three Notre Dame sisters, the order that served the school for many years, at the liturgy and reception. May God bless the students, staff, and families, as we go forward in faith.

Please join me in praying for Deacon Michael Figura whom I will happily ordain to the Sacred Priesthood on Saturday, June 6 at the Cathedral of St. Cecilia. May the Lord grant Deacon Michael strength and peace, and may he always know the friendship of Jesus as he lays down his life in priestly ministry.

Congratulations to Deacon Caleb Kosch on his ordination to the transitional diaconate last night at the Cathedral of St. Cecilia. May God bless Deacon Caleb as he serves as a deacon and prepares for priestly ordination in 2027.

I encourage you to take the time to read what the Holy Father is sharing with us about artificial intelligence and human dignity. Please join me in praying for our seminarian Caleb Kosch of St. Anthony Parish in Columbus as he prepares to be ordained a deacon next Friday, May 29th, at the Cathedral of St. Cecilia. This is a joyful step on Caleb's journey toward the priesthood. May God bless his service as a deacon and make the Lord Jesus known through Caleb's ministry at the altar, his preaching, and his works of charity.

Thanks to all who joined us last night at St. James Church in Omaha for our holy hour for our Ordinandi and Seminarians! It was good to pray alongside so many who took the time to be with Jesus and ask His blessing upon these young men preparing to serve in His name. Please continue to keep them in your prayers as they answer the Lord's call.

Join Archbishop Michael G. McGovern and the SCOWO Serra Club of West Omaha Serra Club of West Omaha for a Holy Hour to Pray for Ordinandi & Seminarians on Wednesday, May 20, at St. James Catholic Church in Omaha. The Holy Hour begins at 7 p.m.

They will be praying for Deacon Michael Figura, who will be ordained to the priesthood on June 6, for seminarian Caleb Kosch, who will be ordained a transitional deacon on May 29, and for seminarian Thomas Matya, who will be ordained a transitional deacon this fall in Rome.

It was a joy to meet with seven of our eight honorees at a kickoff event for the Archbishop's Dinner for Education. Thanks to St. Patrick's Parish - Elkhorn, NE for hosting the kickoff event. I am grateful for the dedicated work of these educators from across our archdiocese, who will be recognized for their exemplary work at the September 24 dinner at the CHI Health Center in Omaha.
