Olean Baptist Church June 14, 2026
Hello neighbors near and far. We hope everyone made it thru the storms this week without damage.
Today at the OBC, we were missing some of the family due to illness, chasing loose cattle, and work schedules. We want to offer condolences to the friends and family of Dr Michael Young of Jefferson City( wife Mary) Mike was a well known and well loved doctor in the community and he will be missed by all who knew him. Dr Mike was an uncle to our Lee Zamarripa.
Brother Bob took his message today from Psalm 119:105. This is a well known verse " Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”. I think I can safely say we have all had to walk in the dark. It is not easy nor is it safe. With a light, we can see the path before us. We can avoid things in our path that can trip us up. God’s Word, the Bible is like a light in the darkness. God gave us his written Word to help us navigate in this dark world and not get tripped up.
God always has our backs and wants the best for us. We just need to stay on His path, not make detours or short cuts.
We thank Holden Gunn for praying over our offering and Darrel Boggs for helping him collect our offering. These young men are our future leaders. We are very proud of them.
We hope everyone has a good week. Keep on the right path folks!
