Anna Christine Livengood, 74, of Rawlings and formerly of Loch Lynn, died on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her home. Born on May 15, 1952, in Buckhannon, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lewis and Mary Rose (Bennett) Moran.
She worked for Garrett Regional Medical Center for over 25 years in both the pharmacy and emergency department. Spending time with her grandkids was her greatest joy.
She is survived by her daughters, Tonya Livengood and significant other Jousha of Mt. Savage, and Lisa Freeland and husband Gary of Terra Alta, WV; grandkids, Aimee Lytle and husband Greg, Jordyn Bennett and husband Dillon, Zoie Beckman, Rayanna Beckman, Takoda Beckman, and Alizah Beckman; great grandkids, Emilee and Tucker Bowman, Tori and Caleb Lytle, and Kamryn Bennett; great great grandkids, Anna, Tatum, and Sutton; sisters, Katie Ware and significant other Neal Zinn, Sue Dean and husband John, all of Buckhannon; brothers, Thomas Moran and wife Glenna of Buckhannon, and William Moran and wife Pam, of Romney, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, William Ray Livengood; a son, Barry Livengood; a grandson, Michael Bowman; and her siblings, Patty Cutright, Robert Moran, Darlene Beck, Barbara Bushey, and Jeannie Higginbothan.
According to her wishes, she was cremated, and a private interment will be held in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.

Helen Emily “Suz” Cain, 92, of McHenry, MD, died Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Cherry Hill Assisted Living, Accident, MD.

Born April 18, 1934, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jeannette (Griffith) Stallings. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Wilkens, Sr.

Mrs. Cain was owner/operator of a Real Estate Agency in Puerto Rico.

Surviving are two brothers, Richard Wilkens & Ronald (Vickie) Griffith; one niece, one nephew; great & great – great nieces & nephews and two former husbands, Naz Velleggia & Raymond Cain.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am, with the Rev. Dennis Leatherman officiating. Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.

Joni Kim Blum, 69, of Oakland, passed away on May 21, 1956, at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born on Spetember 1, 1956, in Nagoya, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Jackson "AJ" and Letha Rosella (Jones) Hanlin.

Joni graduated high school from the American Academy in Athens, Greece, and later made her home in Maryland where she worked for the Garrett County Department of Social Services. A faithful member of Crossroads Church, she found great joy in her community of faith. She loved riding motorcycle trips with her husband and attending local cruise-ins together, and she always looked forward to her monthly girls' night out with friends. Above all, she cherished vacationing with her family and making regular trips to North Carolina to visit her daughter, creating memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kevin Blum, to whom she was married on June 5, 1982; her daughter, Stasha Soto and husband Kevin of Statesville, NC; and her three siblings, Arthur Hanlin and spouse Dora of Oakland, Jerry Hanlin and spouse Chris of Navarre, Florida, and Janet (Hanlin) Roderick and spouse Paul of Swanton.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 5 to 8 PM, at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 12 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Dave Marsh and Pastor Brandon Hutzel officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Shaffer, 83, of Oakland, passed away on May 19, 2026, at J.W. Ruby WVU Hospital. Born on January 4, 1943, in Crellin, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Hank and Pauline (Calhoun) Henline.

For many years, Betty worked as an inspector for Bausch & Lomb and later as a pharmacy technician until retirement. She was a faithful member of the Oak Park Church of the Brethren, where she and her husband enjoyed the church fellowship. She was always ready to serve where needed, as a deacon, board member, or a participant on various committees. She enjoyed showing her love for her family by preparing meals and baking delicious cookies. After retirement, she traveled with her husband all over the United States and had many stories to share about their fun-filled adventures. Her hobbies included bird watching, caring for her flowers, doing puzzles, and watching game shows. Betty's family was the center of her world. Making sure everyone was taken care of was her life's priority. She was the backbone of her family, and will be deeply missed by them all. Her strong faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gives the family comfort and peace knowing that she is resting eternally with Him.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, Donald Shaffer Sr.; her children, Lori Stites and husband Craig of N.C., Donnie Shaffer and wife Andrea of Oakland, Ron Shaffer of Oakland, and Rhonda Greene and husband Ricky of N.C., grandchildren, Bradley Shaffer and fiancée Rachel, Matthew Shaffer and wife Morgan, Madison Shaffer and significant other Luke, Will Stites, Nick Stites, Michael Greene and fiancée Anna, and Carter Greene; great grandchildren, Weston, Waylon, Wellington, Wade, Nataley, Lilly, Emma, John and Rylee; siblings, Gerald "Jerry" Henline and wife Anna, and Tom Henline and wife Shirley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William "Bud" Henline and Charles "Ed" Henline.

Friends will be received on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Oak Park Church of the Brethren in Oakland. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11 AM, with Pastor Carl Fike officiating. A private interment will be held at the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.

Patricia M. Cavanaugh Charlesworth, 84, Confluence, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026 at her home. She was born July 28, 1941 in Confluence, a daughter of Patrick F. Cavanaugh and Helen (Sands) Blubaugh. Her parents and step father, Lawrence Blubaugh preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Becki Lancaster (Jamie), Addison, grandchildren, Dakota Ray Rugg and fiancé, Madison, Abbie Rugg and Seth Lancaster and cousins, Bradley and Marilyn T***s, Punta Gorda, FL. Patty was a 1959 graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School and worked for 17 years at Faymore Mfg. and Suder’s Soft Freeze in Confluence. Friends will be received from 2-6 PM Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence. A funeral service will follow the viewing at 6 PM with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment in Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland, MD.
