Pine Grove Church

Pine Grove Church We are affiliated with The Covenant Brethren Church that is a fairly new denomination which holds to Biblical authority.

God's word, the Bible, is the inspired word of God, and holds the ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice. We believe the mission of the congregation is the same as the Great Commission of Christ "to go into all the world and proclaim the Good News of the Gospel", beginning at home and ultimately pass on the salvation experience to all the world. Discipling believers involves winning,

nurturing, educating in God's word and challenging every church member in the body of Christ to be the very best he or she can be. With Christ as our primary focus in faith, love and service, our members will mature in their faith. We are God's representatives in these last days as witnesses, servants, stewards, encouragers and peacemakers.

From the Pastor's Desk

4 years ago today was one of the greatest days in our ministry. June 5th 2022 Pine Grove Church voted me in as their pastor. It has been 4 wonderful years and we are looking forward to many many many more, Lord willing. The congregation here has said many times that we have been a blessing to the church but Darlene and I feel that we are blessed 1000 times more for being part of this wonderful church family and the communities of Oakland, Md and Terra Alta, WV. God has done amazing things here at Pine Grove Church. He has brought more people into our family, and we have grown spiritually together in the Lord. It wasn't easy moving away from our physical family, (especially the grandchildren), buying another home and taking care of both places but God has been with us all the way. We love our church!!! We love the area we live and the little house God helped us buy. But most of all we love Jesus more. 😀. God is truly good!

This Sunday's Message is titled "Now or Too Late" looking at Romans chapter 13:11-14. Now is the time to awake. Awake for it is the day. What Day? Wake up before it's too late.

My favorite time of the week other than preaching is my study days. Of course every day is a day to study, pray and worship but when I can really get with God for a message for the church (and me too) it is so special to me and something I do not take lightly. Our series of revival services has ended but revival must go on! The song says " Just A Closer Walk With Thee, Grant it Jesus, is my plea, daily, Daily, DAILY! walking close to thee, let it be, Dear Lord, let it be.

No greater joy in this world than walking closer and closer to Jesus.
This week is the 28th anniversary of my rebirth day. On Tuesday evening May 19th 1998 Jesus saved me and changed my life forever and each day I want to get closer to Jesus. It was the greatest day of my life. I was 28 years old and it was 28 years ago in a revival service that I was made a child of the King and this past Tuesday was May 19th 2026 we were in Revival. All I can say is HALLELUJAH!!!!! PRAISE BE TO JESUS!!!
