A new attitude starts with the mind of Christ.

This Sunday, we continued The Pursuit of Joy in Philippians 2:1–11 with the message “I Got a New Attitude.”

Paul reminds the church:
“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.”

That attitude is not pride.
Not selfish ambition.
Not trying to impress others.
Not looking only to our own interests.

It's humility.

Jesus, though He was God, took the posture of a servant. He moved toward us in love, obedience, and sacrifice. And now, as His people, we are called to live with that same mind — loving one another, working together, and striving for unity in the body of Christ.

The question for us this week is simple:

What a full and joyful Sunday at [OV]Church.

Today we celebrated the end of Kids Week, watched our kids help lead us with one of their songs, prayed over families through Parent-Child Dedication, honored Father’s Day, and continued our series, The Pursuit of Joy.

Days like today remind us that church is more than a Sunday gathering. It is a family being formed by Jesus, generation by generation.

We’re grateful for every child, parent, volunteer, father, father figure, guest, and church member who was part of today. God is at work in our church family, and we do not want to keep that to ourselves.

As we look ahead to next Sunday, think of someone you could invite to come with you.

Send the text. Share the post. Offer to sit with them.

There is room for you, and there is room for them too.

Your invitation could make Father’s Day meaningful for someone this Sunday.

This weekend, we’ll gather as a church family to worship, open God’s Word, and continue The Pursuit of Joy together.

For some, Father’s Day is joyful. For others, it can feel complicated, heavy, or tender. Either way, church can be a place where people are reminded that they are seen, loved, and not alone.

So think of one person you could invite.

A dad.
A grandfather.
A neighbor.
A coworker.
A family member.
Someone who needs encouragement.
Someone who may not come unless someone asks.

Make the invitation simple:

“Want to come with me Sunday? I’ll save you a seat.”

Join us this Sunday at 10:10am.

Today was the last day of Kids Week, and we’re celebrating all that God has done!

Kids Week 2026 has been such a gift.

We are so grateful for every youth worker and volunteer who showed up this week to serve, lead, encourage, laugh, pray, and help point kids to Jesus.

Parents, join us this Sunday during the church gathering for a special Kids Week presentation. We can’t wait for you to see what your kids have been part of this week.
