🌱 "What if this Lent, you took a moment to truly reflect on your journey?" 🌱

Lent isn’t just about giving something up; it’s a time for introspection, growth, and renewal. It’s an opportunity to deepen your spiritual life and reconnect with what truly matters. Here are some ways to make the most of this sacred season:

✨ Set aside quiet time each week for meditation or prayer.
✨ Journal your thoughts and feelings to track your spiritual growth.
✨ Volunteer for a local charity or help someone in need, practicing selflessness.
✨ Explore new ways of serving your community or faith through acts of kindness.
✨ Engage with your faith community—whether in person or online—for support and connection.

Let’s embrace this transformative season together! How do you plan to reflect this Lent? Share your thoughts in the comments! 💬👇

A message from Father Keith:

St. Stephen's Family,

I hope this message finds you well. Due to the forecasted inclement weather conditions expected this Sunday (2/1), we have decided to cancel the worship experience at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church for the day. The safety and well-being of our congregation and community are our top priorities.

We encourage everyone to stay warm, safe, and to take care of yourselves and your loved ones during this time. While we may not gather in person, I invite you to take a moment to reflect and pray within your homes, focusing on the love and light that Christ brings into our lives.
Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Blessings,
Rev. Keith Josey
Priest-in-Charge
St. Stephen's Episcopal Church

Happy Birthday, Father Keith!
Here is a message from him: I would like to take a moment and say thank you to everyone who saw fit to celebrate with me the blessing of life as we took time out to say Happy Birthday. Your gifts, kind words and presence were food for my soul. Thank you and God bless you all.

On Sunday evening congregation members surprised Pastor Keith with an Appreciation dinner to say thank you for all the ways he shows up for us. This celebration, full of hugs, smiles, and laughter was a small way to pour back into our amazing leader. See Pastor Keith's response below:

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you who participated in today's Fall Festival. Your enthusiasm and support contributed to an impactful service, and it was a joy to see so many of you enjoying the Petting Zoo, Bounce House, and Trunk or Treat.
Witnessing our community come together in celebration reinforces the growth of our church and our mission to share God's love with everyone. Thank you for making this event a memorable one!

Norfolk State University homecoming parade was a grand event today! Thank you to the event coordinators, parents, volunteers and especially the praise dancers and children who marched. The community feedback is amazing and it was a complete blessing to represent our Church in that way.
