Good afternoon, Friends. A note about today's (July 12) live stream on our YouTube Channel. If you were watching or plan on watching the live stream, please know there is no sound until the 10-minute mark of the stream. There is sound from that point until the end of the service. Blessings Friends!

Azalea held their annual Freedom Celebration, it was a day filled with joy!! We shared conversation, laughter, water play and raised $400 for missions with our cake raffle. Azalea’s home cooks prepared yummy sides and desserts. We are so grateful for everyone that worked together to create an amazing day!!

Hello Friends,
In today’s message, I shared an invitation to join me throughout July to do three things that will make Azalea more unified. My hope and continued prayer are that you will join in this endeavor, as we seek to love God and one another.
First: Examine your identity. Take some time to honestly ask yourself: what identity am I leading with? When I think about the people in my church, in my community, in my world, am I seeing them first through the lens of culture, or through the lens of Christ? Or am I starting with the truth that every person I encounter is made in the image of God and loved by Jesus?
Second: Pray for unity. Spend time praying specifically for the unity of Azalea and all of God’s churches. Pray for the people in this faith community who are different from you. Pray for the relationships that are strained. If Jesus thought unity was worth praying for in his final hours, it’s certainly worth a few minutes of our prayer life every day.
Third: Make an effort. Unity doesn't just happen; it requires effort. Is there someone you can make one intentional move toward in this faith community who is different from you? Maybe it's a different generation. Maybe it's a different background. Maybe it's someone you have tension with. Reach out. Have a conversation. Make the effort. You will be amazed at how God responds.
