Starting September 6, we’re diving into a brand-new series: When Life Hands You Lemons: Real Talk from Ecclesiastes. Four weeks of honest conversation for anyone who’s ever felt stuck, disappointed, or unsure about the whole God thing.

No quick answers. No spiritual clichés. Just space to slow down, tell the truth about life as it actually is, and discover what it looks like to live well in the middle of it all.

Dear Beloved People of the Ohio Episcopal Area,

Severe flooding across Central Ohio has caused widespread damage and disruption, displacing families and threatening homes and livelihoods. Our hearts are with all who have been affected.

I invite every congregation across East and West Ohio to respond with prayer and compassionate action. Please pray for those in danger, for first responders, and for all providing shelter, food, medical care, and essential assistance.

The work of recovery will require sustained cooperation. I encourage our churches to care for their neighbors, remain connected with district and conference leaders, and participate in coordinated relief efforts as opportunities arise.

No congregation or community should face this crisis alone. Through our prayers, generosity, service, and faithful partnership, may we embody Christ’s healing presence.

God of mercy and refuge, protect those in danger, comfort those who have suffered loss, and strengthen all who serve. Gather us as one body so that, through our loving action, hope may rise and communities may be restored. In Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.

We are so excited to welcome Rev. Matt Rawle to New Albany UMC this Sunday, August 23!
Matt is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church serving Carrollton United Methodist Church in New Orleans, a New Orleans native, and a graduate of the LSU School of Music and Duke Divinity School. He’s an international speaker and the author of numerous books — including Jesus Revealed, The Final Days, and the Pop in Culture series — and a co-founder of the Hub4Innovation.
This Sunday, Matt brings us his take on innovation — where creativity and utility meet. You are not going to want to miss this!
