Join Fr. Dave Sizemore for a beautiful Catholic pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Croatia, and Montenegro, June 7–18, 2027. Some adjustments were made reducing the price by $1,100.00 from the original price!

This will be a wonderful spiritual journey of prayer, daily Mass, reflection, and renewal in Medjugorje, a place where millions of pilgrims have come seeking deeper conversion, peace, Confession, Eucharistic devotion, and a closer relationship with Jesus through Mary. Many believe that Mary, the Mother of Jesus, has been appearing in Apparitions since 1981. Fr. Dave took a retreat here in 1996, staying with one of the visionaries, and had a profound experience of the love of Jesus through Mary. So many miracles have happened here over the years.

You will also experience the beauty of the Adriatic coast, including breathtaking visits to Dubrovnik, the Bay of Kotor, Split, and Montenegro. The group will pray together, travel together, enjoy dinners and friendship together, and encounter the beauty of our Catholic faith in some of the most scenic and sacred places along the Adriatic.

A heartfelt thank you for those who graciously opened their home and hosting Fr. PC for a Feast with the Fathers gathering.

The generosity of our parishioners makes evenings like this possible. Sharing a meal, stories, and fellowship around the table helps strengthen the bonds that make our parish community such a gift.

Thank you for your hospitality and for creating a welcoming space where faith and friendship can flourish. We are grateful for all who participated and helped make the evening so special!

Reminder to please see the following message from our pastor, Fr. Dave, regarding our current progress as of this past Monday in this year's Appeal for the Diocese of Columbus.

Dear Parishioners,

I invite you to consider supporting the mission of our Diocese through this year's Appeal. First, I want to thank those parishioners who have already made a gift or pledge to The Appeal of the Diocese of Columbus, over the past month and half. I am especially grateful to our Miter Society members, whose gifts of $1,000 or more provide extraordinary leadership for the Church. Quite simply, we could not meet our goal without you. If you have supported The Appeal in the past, in any amount, I ask you to prayerfully consider renewing your gift this year and, if possible, making a modest increase.

Today, however, I especially want to reach out to those parishioners from whom we have not yet heard. Perhaps you have never participated in The Appeal before. Perhaps you have been meaning to respond but have not yet had the opportunity. I invite you to consider supporting the mission of our Diocese during this coming year.

The Appeal funds ministries and services that no single parish could accomplish alone. It helps form future priests, supports Catholic schools, strengthens marriages and families, sustains evangelization efforts, serves those in need, supports college campus ministry, and provides resources that help parishes throughout our Diocese thrive. The relationship between the Diocese and our parish is reciprocal: Catholics throughout the Diocese support these ministries through The Appeal, and those ministries, in turn, strengthen parishes like Resurrection.

A powerful example is priestly formation. Last year we celebrated the ordination of Fr. Joseph Rolwing, a son of our parish. Today, Christopher Dixon is studying for the priesthood in Rome. Likewise, Deacons Byron Phillips, Kevin Murrin, and Dave Fessenmeyer were formed through the support of Catholics across the Diocese. Preparing just one man for priesthood costs approximately $500,000 over eight years. No parish could shoulder that responsibility alone. Together, we can.

This year our parish goal is $305,000. To date, we have received approximately $127,000, which means we still have a long way to go to reach our goal. In recent years we have not met that goal, and the parish has had to make up the difference from parish funds. Last year alone, more than $100,000 was used to cover the shortfall—resources that could otherwise have supported our own ministries. If we fall short again, part of our recent Offertory growth will need to be used to cover that difference rather than strengthen parish ministry.

The good news is that once we meet our goal, every dollar given above the goal is returned to Resurrection Parish 100%. One of our most important needs is a parish secretary. For years we have relied on generous volunteers, but phones still go unanswered, visitors are not always greeted promptly, and our staff carries significant administrative burdens. If we exceed our goal, we hope to use those returned funds to help hire a parish secretary while we continue strengthening our Offertory to support the position permanently.

If you have not yet participated, would you prayerfully consider a gift of $250 over the next 10 months—just $25 per month? The average gift from Resurrection parishioners this year is $526, but every gift matters. The Church does not ask for equal gifts; it asks for proportional generosity. What matters most is that each of us participates according to our ability.

I have committed to giving $1,000 this year. I ask you to join me in prayerfully considering what God is calling you to do. Together, we can meet our goal, strengthen the ministries of the Diocese, and build a stronger future for Resurrection Parish.

Make your pledge today using the giving link, or by stopping by the parish office for a pledge form. For questions or assistance, please contact the parish office at 614-855-1500.
