We are grateful for the generous contributions of Church of the Resurrection parishioners! The recent Reclamation Weekend was a success. The St. Vincent de Paul truck was nearly filled with only donated clothes and shoes. Separately, a twenty-foot trailer, tightly packed with miscellaneous items, was filled by two-thirds and another trailer held a few larger donated items. Acts like donated used items may seem simple or insignificant, but to the people that these items serve, the impact left is palpable. We couldn't do it without all of you!

Be on the lookout for our next Reclamation Weekend later this year and think ahead before taking gently used items out of your house in the interim.

Price drop! Join Fr. Dave Sizemore for a beautiful Catholic pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Croatia, and Montenegro, June 7–18, 2027. Some adjustments were made reducing the price by $1,100.00!

This will be a wonderful spiritual journey of prayer, daily Mass, reflection, and renewal in Medjugorje, a place where millions of pilgrims have come seeking deeper conversion, peace, Confession, Eucharistic devotion, and a closer relationship with Jesus through Mary. Many believe that Mary, the Mother of Jesus, has been appearing in Apparitions since 1981. Fr. Dave took a retreat here in 1996, staying with one of the visionaries, and had a profound experience of the love of Jesus through Mary. So many miracles have happened here over the years.

You will also experience the beauty of the Adriatic coast, including breathtaking visits to Dubrovnik, the Bay of Kotor, Split, and Montenegro. The group will pray together, travel together, enjoy dinners and friendship together, and encounter the beauty of our Catholic faith in some of the most scenic and sacred places along the Adriatic.

The developing baby is now called a “fetus”. A Latin word meaning “little one”. She is making rapid progress developing all her external and internal organs. Brain waves can also now be recorded. During this second month of life baby teeth begin to form, and fingers and toes are developing. Her ears, nose, lips and tongue can now be clearly seen, and her skeleton changes from cartilage to bone. The central nervous system is functioning and her forty muscle sets are doing their first exercises. Her mother can hear the heartbeat. Our spiritually adopted baby grows and refines his body. But everything she needs to survive once she is born is already present.

Join us in Prayer! Consider joining us in spiritual adoption by saying the prayer below daily now through December 25th (Recommended by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen):

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn child that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.

Thank you to everyone who has already made a gift or pledge to The Appeal of the Diocese of Columbus. As of this past Wednesday, we have $72,220.00 pledged, with $52,920.03 of that received, out of our $305,897.20 goal. Your generosity is more than a donation. It is a witness to faith and a commitment to the future of the Church. Because of your support, lives are being touched through priest formation, Catholic education, evangelization, marriage preparation, outreach to those in need, and many ministries that bring the love of Christ to people throughout our Diocese.

We are especially grateful to the parishioners who give at the Miter Society level ($1,000 or more). Your extraordinary generosity and leadership help make our parish goal possible and inspire others to respond with faithful hearts.

If you have not yet participated, would you prayerfully consider joining this effort? A gift of $250 over the next 10 months is just $25 per month, but when many households come together in sacrifice and generosity, it becomes something much greater. Together, we can meet our parish goal of $305,000 and continue supporting the mission of the Church both here at home and across the Diocese.

It is also important to remember that once we meet our parish goal, every dollar raised above that amount returns directly to Resurrection Parish 100%. Those funds will help us address important parish needs, including hiring a much-needed parish secretary to better serve our community. Thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and your continued commitment to the mission of Resurrection parish.
