*Not Finished Yet! | Jesus Is for Everyone*

When Jesus saw Levi sitting at the tax collector’s booth, everyone else saw a sinner, a traitor, and someone who didn’t belong.

*Jesus saw Matthew.*

The name Matthew means *“Gift of God.”* Jesus didn’t only see who Levi was—He saw who he was meant to be.

Jesus didn’t ignore his sin. He met him in the middle of it and simply said, *“Follow me.”* Matthew got up, left his old life behind, and followed Jesus.

That’s what genuine love does. *Genuine love leads to genuine submission, and genuine submission leads to genuine change.*

In this message from the *Jesus Is for Everyone* series, we look at the calling of Matthew and discover a powerful truth:

*God is not finished with you yet.*

This message is for two kinds of people:

**People like Matthew**—who look at their past, their failures, or the life they’re living and can’t imagine themselves as a candidate for the love of God.

**People like the Pharisees**—who have decided that someone else is too sinful, too broken, too far gone, or simply doesn’t look qualified to belong.

Jesus challenges both.

To the Matthew, He says, *“Follow me.”*

To the Pharisee, He says, *“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”*

Don’t write yourself off.

And don’t write anyone else off.

*Jesus is for everyone. Every Soul Matters to God. And God is not finished yet!*
