Christ Presbyterian Church

Christ Presbyterian Church Following Christ in his mission to love people, places, and things to life. We call Nashville home. We will give special care to the weak and the poor.

Our Mission: To follow Christ in his mission of loving people, places, and things to life. We value God
Through Christ and by his Spirit, God has made us his daughters and sons. Therefore, by his grace:
We will seek to love God first, and love God most. We will rest and live in the peace of the Father, majoring in the majors and minoring in the minors. We will rest and live in the love of Christ,

as a people of grace. We will rest and live in the ways of the Spirit, as a people of truth. We value people
In love, Christ gave his life for every type of person. Therefore, by his grace:
We will settle for nothing less than healthy, life-giving community with each other. We will be hospitable and thoughtful toward all of our guests. We will treat our non-Christian friends and neighbors with love, dignity, and respect. We value places
God is making all things new through Christ. Therefore, by his grace:
We will seek the peace and prosperity of Nashville, and from Nashville, the world. We will seek to be good neighbors in every place, inside and outside our homes. We will treat the workplace as a significant and strategic realm for discipleship and mission. We will work for the renewal of broken neighborhoods and institutions. We value things
All things were created by Christ and for Christ. Therefore, by his grace:
We will resist greed and encourage simple, generous living. We will manage and share the resources God entrusts to us responsibly and faithfully. We will seek to do a few things with excellence, versus many things with mediocrity. We will take responsibility to care for all of God’s creation. 🤝 Last year, our Missions and Youth Ministry teams were able to join together for our first annual Youth Mission Trip to Belize! Students grades 9-12 serve with The Belize Project, which empowers people through restoration and wholeness for the glory of Christ. Our team learns about the Belize Project's efforts in Education, Rehabilitation, and Economic Development and has the opportunity to support, serve, and see firsthand the impact of their investment in the community.

The second annual trip is coming up soon, from July 21-28! We ask you to join us in praying for the students and leaders who will be going and the people they'll be serving. You can also give towards the trip, with contributions helping offset travel and lodging costs for students and leaders, providing supplies for ministry projects on the ground, and empowering our team to serve.

Through all of these efforts, your giving empowers sustainable, community-driven ministry. It’s not just a trip—it’s a partnership that equips and encourages churches and communities. To learn more and give online, please visit christpres.org/missiontrips.

🎼 "Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things!...Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!" (Psalm 98:1, 4)

We're blessed to have a wonderful choir and are grateful for how well they help invite our congregation into worship! We hope you enjoy their recent rendition of "Give Me Jesus."

⛪ Ministry Monday: Missional Living Moment (New England Urban Church Planting)

Today’s Missional Living Moment highlights a recent update from New England Urban Church Planting (NEU Church Planting)! Christian Michael, a former staff member here at Christ Pres, and his family are engaged in ministry work that centers on sharing their faith and building relationships within the community they serve. They're preparing for their next season through church planting training in New England with the desire to help establish a healthy, gospel-centered church in a place where access to Christian community and local churches remains limited.

🔗 We encourage you to join us in praying for them for wisdom, provision, protection, and open hearts to recieve the gospel. To learn more about the Michael family, NEU Church Planting, and our other Missional Partners, please visit christpres.org/missional-partnerships.

🌸 We invite you to join us this Sunday, May 31, as we begin a new sermon series, "Christ in the Psalms!"

The Psalms, the hymnbook of the people of God, are filled with allusions to the life, ministry, and Lordship of Jesus. These foreshadowings gave the people in the Old Testament a vision for what to anticipate in the coming of the Messiah, and we as the church today have the blessing of hindsight to see how Jesus is described in these ancient poems. We'll spend fourteen weeks journeying through the Psalms to see Christ present as The Ruler of All, Our Suffering Servant, The Giver of Good Gifts, and so much more.
