Pastor Brian’s message yesterday reminded us of a powerful truth from Mark 6:45-52: sometimes the greatest lesson isn’t about the storm around us—it’s about who is with us in the middle of it.

Mark 6:45-52
As night fell, the disciples found themselves struggling. The wind was against them, and despite their efforts, they were getting nowhere.

Jesus saw them.

That’s an important reminder for us. Even when it feels like we’re alone in the storm, Jesus sees exactly where we are and what we’re facing.

Then Jesus came to them, walking on the water. The disciples were terrified, thinking they were seeing a ghost. But Jesus spoke words they desperately needed to hear:

“Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” (Mark 6:50)

Then He climbed into the boat with them, and immediately the wind died down.

Notice that the storm didn’t stop when the disciples rowed harder. It didn’t stop because they figured out a better plan. It stopped when Jesus got in the boat.

Many of us are exhausted from trying to navigate life’s storms in our own strength. We worry, strive, and fight against the wind. But the answer isn’t always a stronger effort—it’s a closer presence of Jesus.

The same Savior who stepped into the disciples’ boat wants to step into our fears, anxieties, and impossible situations. His presence brings a peace that circumstances cannot provide.

Today, whatever storm you’re facing, listen for His voice: “Take courage. It is I. Don’t be afraid.” The storm may be loud, but Jesus is greater. 🫶🏻

Big things are happening at New Hope! 🙌

We are excited to officially begin expansion on our sanctuary so we can make room for more people, more families, and more lives being changed by Jesus. What a blessing it is to be growing together as a church family! ❤️

And don’t worry — Sunday Worship will continue as normal in the gym during construction. We can’t wait to see what God is going to do in this next season for our church.

Thank you for growing, serving, giving, and believing with us. The best is still ahead! ✨

The world constantly tells us we need more to finally be “enough.” More money. More success. More followers. More approval. More perfection.

But God’s truth speaks louder: you do not have to keep proving your worth when your identity is already found in Him.

As Pastor Brian discussed yesterday, sometimes we spend so much time chasing what’s next that we miss the blessing of what’s already in front of us. Contentment begins when we realize that God’s presence is enough, His grace is enough, and through Him, we are enough for the calling He has placed on our lives.

{God's Grace} = {Enough}

Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” (KJV…I shall not want)

God never asked us to have it all together. He never said we had to be the strongest, the most talented, or the most successful to be loved by Him. He simply asks us to trust Him.

When we understand that Jesus is enough, we stop living from a place of striving and start living from a place of peace.

Maybe tonight you need the reminder:

* You are enough even on the hard days.
* What God has provided is enough for this season.
* God’s strength is enough for the battle you’re facing.
* His love for you has never depended on perfection.

Contentment grows when we stop measuring our lives against everyone else and start resting in the truth that God has already given us what we need for today. 🤍
