Gathered by Grace, Growing in love, Empowered to serve. We are a progressive Baptist church in the deep piney woods of east Texas. We welcome everyone!

Yes, there really is a progressive church in East Texas. We strive to love and include ALL who seek to know Christ. Like Christ, we try to include the excluded, reach the marginalized, and minister to those who hurt and are in need. If you are new to our city or are otherwise looking for a church home, we invite you to join with us.

This body of believers is gathered by the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, growing in the love of God, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve the community by manifesting the teachings of Jesus. We believe all Christians are called to serve, and that every member is a minister. Austin Heights Baptist Church observes the two New Testament ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We practice believer's baptism by immersion and our communion is open to all members of the Christian faith.
