St. Paul's Lutheran Church

St. Paul's was formed in 1841 by a group of German immigrants who fled Germany because of religious persecution. Today, St.

Paul's considers itself a 'Metropolitan congregation with an urban mission'. It's a mixed congregation, with members from all corners of the metropolitan area, as well as the adjacent Concordia, Merrill P

ark and Story Hill neighborhoods. As part of the eight inner-city congregations that make up the Central City Churches Inc., our main mission is serving the neighborhood with an emphasis on the children, mainly African-American and Asian American. Among our many projects is a monthly Community Night, Kim's Closet (free clothing), as well as a Quilter's group, and men's bible study classes.
