Day 1
The Harvest Needs Laborers
Scripture
Matthew 9:37-38
"Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."
Key Topic Discussion
Jesus identified the greatest need in His ministry. Surprisingly, it was not money, buildings, or programs. It was laborers.
The harvest was already ready.
The people were already waiting.
The need was workers willing to participate in God's mission.
Many believers pray for revival, growth, and impact. Yet Jesus taught us to pray for laborers. Before God expands the harvest, He often raises up workers who can care for it.
Today ask yourself: Am I simply observing the harvest, or am I actively working in it?
Reflection Questions
1. How do I currently serve God's Kingdom?
2. What gifts has God given me that could bless others?
3. Have I been praying more for blessings than opportunities to serve?
Journal Prompt
Write about a time when someone served you spiritually and how it impacted your life.
Prayer Prompt
Lord, make me willing to serve wherever You need me. Open my eyes to the harvest around me and help me become a faithful laborer in Your Kingdom. Amen.
