Day 1: The Promise Is Given

Scripture:
Acts 1:8

Key Topic:
Waiting for the Promise

Discussion:
Before Jesus ascended, He told His disciples to wait for the promise of the Father—the Holy Spirit. This wasn’t optional; it was essential. The power to live a victorious life comes from being filled with His Spirit.
Waiting is not weakness—it is preparation.

Reflection Questions:
1. What does “waiting on God” look like in your life?
2. Are you depending on your strength or His Spirit?

Journal Prompts:
Write about a time when waiting on God produced growth in you.
What areas of your life need the power of the Holy Spirit?

Prayer Prompt:
“Lord, help me to wait on Your promise and not rush ahead without Your Spirit.”

DAY 7 – Just Be Pentecostal

Scripture
Romans 12:11

Key Topic
Pentecostal Is a Lifestyle

Devotion
Pentecostal isn’t a label—it’s a way of life. It’s Spirit-led worship, Spirit-filled living, and Spirit-empowered service. The fire of Pentecost wasn’t meant to stay in the upper room—it was meant to spread.
God is calling believers to live fully ignited lives.

Discussion
What does Pentecostal living look like outside church?
How can we carry the fire daily?

Reflection Questions
1. Is my faith visible beyond Sunday?
2. What would change if I lived fully Spirit-led?

Journal Prompt
“What does ‘Just Be Pentecostal’ mean for my daily life?”

Prayer Prompt
Commit your life afresh to Holy Spirit empowerment.

DAY 6 – Boldness That Follows Filling

Scripture
Acts 4:31

Key Topic
The Spirit Produces Courage

Devotion
When believers are filled, they speak boldly. Fear gives way to faith, and silence gives way to testimony. Pentecost wasn’t about private experience—it led to public witness.
The Spirit empowers us to live unashamed of the gospel.

Discussion
How does the Holy Spirit give boldness?
Where do believers need courage today?

Reflection Questions
1. Where have I been silent out of fear?
2. How can I represent Christ more boldly?

Journal Prompt
“God, show me where You want me to speak up.”

Prayer Prompt
Ask for boldness to live and speak for Christ.

DAY 4 – Charged for Daily Living

Scripture
Lamentations 3:22–23

Key Topic
You Can’t Live on Yesterday’s Power

Devotion
Just like devices need daily charging, believers need daily renewal. Yesterday’s prayer life can’t sustain today’s battles. God’s mercy—and His power—are available every morning.
Pentecostal living is sustained through continual connection, not occasional encounters.

Discussion
Why is daily spiritual renewal important?
What drains spiritual energy?

Reflection Questions
1. What “recharges” my spirit?
2. What habits drain my spiritual vitality?

Journal Prompt
“What does daily dependence on the Holy Spirit look like for me?”

Prayer Prompt
Invite God to renew your strength and hunger today.

DAY 3 – Filled, Not Familiar

Scripture
2 Timothy 3:5

Key Topic
Form Without Power Is Dangerous

Devotion
It’s possible to be surrounded by spiritual activity yet remain spiritually empty. Familiarity with church culture can replace intimacy with God. Paul warns against having the appearance of godliness while denying its power.
Pentecostal life isn’t about routines—it’s about relationship. God desires people who are filled, not just informed.

Discussion
How can familiarity dull spiritual passion?
What habits help maintain spiritual fire?

Reflection Questions
1. Am I operating on past encounters?
2. Have I mistaken routine for relationship?

Journal Prompt
“God, reveal where I’ve settled for form instead of fire.”

Prayer Prompt
Ask the Holy Spirit to expose complacency and restore passion.

DAY 2 – The Day That Changed Everything

Scripture
Acts 2:1–4

Key Topic
Pentecost Was a Divine Encounter

Devotion
Pentecost wasn’t planned by humans—it was initiated by God. Ordinary people gathered in obedience were suddenly filled with extraordinary power. The Holy Spirit transformed fear into boldness and confusion into clarity.
Pentecost reminds us that God still interrupts the ordinary with the supernatural. When hearts are surrendered and waiting, heaven responds.

Discussion
Why was Pentecost necessary for the early church?
How does God still “interrupt” lives today?

Reflection Questions
1. Am I positioning myself for encounter or just attendance?
2. What would it look like to wait on God with expectation?

Journal Prompt
“Describe a time when God unexpectedly moved in your life. What changed afterward?”

Prayer Prompt
Pray for openness and hunger for fresh encounters with the Holy Spirit.

DAY 1 – More Than an Expectation

Scripture
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…”

Key Topic
Pentecostal Is About Power, Not Performance

Devotion
Many people come to Pentecostal spaces with expectations—loud worship, expressive praise, fiery preaching. While these are often present, they are not the point. Pentecost was never meant to be a spectacle; it was meant to be a source.
Jesus didn’t promise excitement—He promised power. That power wasn’t given for Sunday services alone, but for everyday living and bold witnessing. Pentecostal living starts when we stop asking, “What will I see?” and start asking, “What will God do in me?”

Discussion
What expectations do people have of Pentecostal churches?
How do those expectations compare with what Scripture emphasizes?

Reflection Questions
Am I more focused on church experiences or spiritual empowerment?
Where do I need God’s power in my daily life?

Journal Prompt
“God, I don’t want to just watch You move—I want You to move in me. Power me for real life.”

Prayer Prompt
Ask God to shift your focus from outward expressions to inward transformation.
