Habitat for Humanity Milwaukee

Two of the seven Pope Leo Village homes will be starting in July. The addresses for the first two homes are 2950 N. 6th Street and 2946 N. 6th Street.

With those two homes being confirmed, Habitat for Humanity has volunteer opportunities! The dates for the entire Catholic Coalition are Saturdays, July 17 and 25 to assist with framing. These dates are for congregation members within the Catholic Coalition to come together and volunteer. Registration is found at the link in comments and confirmed on a first come first serve basis.

Habitat for Humanity also has opportunities for our congregation to come out as a team to help frame! These opportunities are available on July 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29 and 30. HFH asks for a minimum of 6 volunteers and a maximum of 10 volunteers.

Please head over to the Habitat for Humanity volunteer website to sign up. If you have any issues signing up for this, contact Caroline Martini at [email protected].

In the meantime, please keep praying for those in need of decent housing. For more information about how to get involved in this ministry, please contact Idalia Nieves-Reyes, Director of Social Justice and Outreach, at [email protected] or 414-271-6577.

Teens from our parishes are going on a mission trip to Memphis, Tennessee in June, to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in various ministries. We will be hosting a Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, May 23 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Holy Rosary parking lot (2011 N Oakland Ave) for an opportunity to meet our parish missionaries and support them. Come get your car cleaned and spread the word! The suggested donation is $25 per car. Please reach out to Nino Rebholz at [email protected] if you have any questions.
