Jacob Zavala will be graduating from Benjamin Franklin High School and is excited for the next chapter in his life. He has played baseball for the last 10 years and plans to attend a 4 year Electrician Apprentice program and work in the field to become an Electrician.

đź“– What Bible verse encouraged you the most during high school?
“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (‭‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬‬:‭30‬-‭31‬)

🌟 What are you most excited about for your future?
My future excites me because I know my life is about to change in big ways. I’ll have more responsibility, but also more freedom to make my own decisions and grow into the person I want to be.

✝️ What’s one thing that the church could pray for you as you move forward?
I ask for prayers in that I continue to grow as a Christian, become someone who helps and encourages others, and stays faithful to the path the Lord had planned for me.

senior spotlight!!

Graceson has completed a dedicated homeschool education, including multiple college courses, while balancing club volleyball and a job at SWIG. She plans to take a gap year to gain real-world experience and save money. She is excited to then continue her academic and faith journey at Harding University, where she intends to major in Criminal Justice.

đź“– What Bible verse encouraged you the most during high school?
the bible verse that encouraged me the most through high school was micah 7:8 - “…though i have fallen, i will rise. though i sit in darkness, the lord will be my light.”

🌟 What are you most excited about for your future?

i am most excited for taking the pain and trials i have been through and using what i learned to help others

✝️ What’s one thing that the church could pray for you as you move forward?
I would appreciate prayers for strength in staying strong and true to my faith.

senior spotlight!!

Elizabeth Stewart will be graduating as a homeschool graduate, Elizabeth has played EVAC volleyball for four years and served as Senior Captain this season. She was a member of EVAC’s first-ever sand volleyball team, which won a State Championship in its inaugural year. She plans to study pet grooming with the goal of owning her own business.

đź“– What Bible verse encouraged you the most during high school?
the bible verse that encouraged me the most through high school was Isaiah 41:10 “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

🌟 What are you most excited about for your future?
What i’m most excited about for my future is beginning my journey in the dog grooming industry and turning my passion into a career. More than anything, i’m excited to grow stronger in my faith and continue building my relationship with God as I enter adulthood.

✝️ What’s one thing that the church could pray for you as you move forward?
I would love prayers for strength to stay faithful in the Lord, for distractions to be removed from my life, and for my mind to stay focused on Him through every season. I’d also love prayers for guidance, wisdom, and peace as i begin my journey into adulthood.

senior spotlight!!

Joseline will be graduating from North high school where she has completed the International Baccalaureate program and earned her IB diploma. She was committed to sports all 4 years, where she was able to be captain for girls varsity soccer and cross country team her senior year. She will be going off to phoenix college for two years before transferring to NAU to major in veterinary technology and become a veterinary technician.


đź“– What Bible verse encouraged you the most during high school?
the bible verse that encouraged me the most through high school was Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

🌟 What are you most excited about for your future?
i am most excited about getting to know new people!! i love getting to know everyone and seeing how their experiences have shaped them into who they are, as well as seeing what God has planned for me.

✝️ What’s one thing that the church could pray for you as you move forward?
I’d be grateful to be kept in everyone’s prayers to stay on the path closest to Him as I continue to grow my relationship in Christ. Knowing we’ll be faced with the difficulties of life, I hope to always see God throughout my life.
