St. Peregrine Cancer Shrine The mission of the St. Peregrine Cancer Shrine... is to promote perpetual adoration of Jesus Christ and to pray for those affected by cancer. Welcome to St.

In the midst of suffering, we offer a sanctuary for spiritual healing and emotional peace. Peregrine Cancer Shrine on the campus of Christ the King Parish in Mesa, AZ. Inside the Shrine, a serene place of prayer, is the Perpetual Adoration Chapel. We invite you to come, enter into the beauty of the Shrine. Come, enter into the continual prayer of adoration. Join us in interceding for those who are

facing a diagnosis of cancer. Come and adore Him. The Shrine is open to all from 6 am to 8 pm and with a key card after hours. All are welcome to come and share in a time of prayer. Today we honor St. Teresa of Calcutta, a religious sister and missionary whose life was devoted to serving Christ in the poorest and most vulnerable. Born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, she founded the Missionaries of Charity and spent her life caring for the sick, the dying, the homeless, and those who felt forgotten or abandoned.

St. Teresa reminded the world that every person possesses immeasurable dignity because every person is loved by God. She saw Christ in those she served and taught that even the smallest acts of kindness, when offered with love, can become powerful expressions of faith.

Her life was also marked by profound prayer and perseverance, including seasons when she experienced a deep sense of God's silence. Yet she continued to serve faithfully, trusting in Christ even when she could not feel His presence.

As pope, he worked tirelessly to strengthen the Church, care for the poor, and spread the Gospel.

St. Gregory was also a gifted teacher and writer whose influence shaped the Church for centuries. He is traditionally associated with the development and preservation of Gregorian chant, helping unite worship, prayer, and beauty in the life of the Church.

St. Gregory reminds us that true greatness is found in humble service. His life encourages us to use our gifts for God's glory, care for those in need, and lead others with wisdom, compassion, and faith.

John's unwavering commitment to the truth eventually brought him into conflict with King Herod, whom he courageously challenged for his sinful actions. Imprisoned for speaking the truth, John remained faithful to his mission and ultimately gave his life as a martyr.
⁣
St. John the Baptist reminds us to have the courage to speak the truth, the humility to point others toward Christ, and the faith to remain steadfast even when following God comes at a cost. May we, like John, prepare the way for the Lord in our own hearts and in the lives of those around us.

After his baptism, Augustine devoted his life completely to Christ, eventually becoming a priest and bishop and producing writings that continue to shape Christian thought and spirituality. His journey reminds us that no one is ever beyond the reach of God's mercy and that our deepest longing for truth and love ultimately finds its fulfillment in God.

According to tradition, he contracted the disease while caring for the sick but was miraculously sustained during his illness. His faithful companion, a dog, is often depicted bringing him bread while he was recovering in solitude.

St. Roch reminds us of the power of compassionate service and the courage to remain close to those who are suffering. Rather than turning away from those afflicted by illness, he saw an opportunity to serve Christ by caring for the most vulnerable.

When confronted by those who demanded that he surrender the Eucharist, he refused, choosing to protect the sacred gift with his life.
