God sets a plumb line (a standard of righteousness) among His people, revealing that personal pride has caused lives to be "off-plumb" or spiritually misaligned. Religious activity does not excuse a heart that lacks humility and justice. God desires a sincere heart over superficial worship. A call to personal repentance, asking, "If God set a plumb line among us, how well would our spiritual lives line up?" In the end, Jesus makes the mark on our behalf.

This past weekend, we announced that Boulder Mountain has invested $5,000 with Orchard: Africa, one of our global partners. We are helping them launch three new initiatives:

1. Mother's Program
2. Men's Development Program
3. New Feeding Center

Thank you for your generosity, in advance of our first mission trip to South Africa in June. Thank you to Brian LaMew for his partnership in connecting us to the ongoing work done with the local church in two primary locations, Western Cape, and Northwest Province.

Amos addresses the wealthy and comfortable in Israel who have become indifferent to the suffering of others, a direct byproduct of personal pride. Complacency is a symptom of a heart consumed by personal success rather than the righteousness of God. Amos calls out those who "live in the lap of luxury" while failing to care for the vulnerable. Addressing the danger of defining our worth by our possessions or social status and the need to seek justice.
