Think back to a difficult season in life. You might be able to see how God used that trial to refine you, or teach you something. God is at work - deepening our character and enlarging our capacity, even when we don't see it.

Scripture isn't asking us to do something Jesus hasn't already done for us. He knows how hard it can be for us with some of those things, but we need to extend that forgiveness - even when we can't forget what they've done.
