Collin Baptist Association Working together to plant churches, strengthen churches, and encourage leaders in Collin County.

As Southern Baptists, we believe we can accomplish more together than we can separately for the Lord. Even before there was a Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), associations were the cornerstone of cooperation among Baptist churches in America. Therefore, we cooperate together in Collin County, striving to see every girl, boy, woman, and man within our reach experience a living witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Closing out the evening with a visit to Preston Ridge Church and their lively Wednesday night VBS program. Their children’s director Nish Parham was gracious to show me around and introduce me to some of the hardworking volunteers.

Every Wednesday night in June they have been hosting over 40 kiddos with the VBS theme “Rainforest Falls,” based on the verse Psalm 103:22.
They will be closing out their last night next Wednesday with a splash party!

This afternoon we are showcasing First Baptist Church of Lavon and their very productive VBS program! Their theme was Arts and Sport camp, centering these various fun activities around sharing the gospel with the over 300 kiddos in attendance.

Tonight I had the pleasure of visiting Meadows Baptist Church for their exciting VBS “ROME!”

They actually walk the students through the different parts of the Roman Empire from their church homes, to the marketplace, the underground church, plus meet “Paul” himself!
The children’s minister Tanya showed me around all the numerous stations, where their 50+ volunteers are diligently outreaching to the over 140 attendees.

Continuing with our VBS road trip, we are highlighting First Melissa, who've been ministering to over 300 kiddos this week!

Their VBS theme has been Kingdom Quest, which Pastor Trey Graham states is based on John 8:12, guiding children on a quest to follow the light of Jesus!

You get to see some creative things when you go around to a bunch of VBSs. Crosspoint Church in McKinney had a game where you knock down a Goliath made of boxes with dodgeballs! I love it! They have around 250 kids signed up this week and a huge team of volunteers. Daniel Messina and David Jordan that lead this church well and I am thankful for their involvement in the CBA!
