YOU CAN LOVE JESUS YET HAVE NO HOLY FEAR OF GOD
Many act in church like they love Jesus, sing songs, worship, and talk the Christian language with the appearance of godliness yet many still allow compromise into their lives in areas that no one else sees but God. Selfishness, jealousy, pride, anger, lust for power, money and s*x. Criticizing and unrighteously judging others.
Who are you when no one else is watching? How do you treat your spouse in private? How do you talk to your children or step children behind closed doors? Do you lust after other women or men when no one else is watching you? Do you ma******te and look at p**n? Gossip? Cuss?
Having a holy fear of the Lord draws us into a life of obedience and walking in the fruit of the spirit. Getting our soul wounds healed by forgiving everyone who hurts us from our hearts (Matt 18:21-35) is imperative to removing rights demons have to torment our minds. Humbling ourselves from pride. Making sin a rare things. Then we can change to walk in obedience to Jesus and the Bible with a healthy fear of God.
Galatians 5:19-26 NKJV
“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
