🇦🇷 Welcome the Newest Chabad Emissaries to Buenos Aires: Rabbi Shauli and Devora Polichenco

The Paternal neighborhood of Buenos Aires is a vibrant district known for its strong community spirit, rich cultural heritage, and deep roots in Argentine Jewish life.

With much of the local Jewish community coming from middle- and lower-income backgrounds, the Beit Chabad relies heavily on the generosity of supporters from outside the area to sustain and expand its activities.

Founded by Rabbi Shauli and Devorah Polichenco exactly one year ago, Beit Chabad Paternal serves as a growing center for Jewish connection and engagement. The Beit Chabad already offers three weekly Torah classes, weekly Friday night and Shabbat morning prayer services, and ongoing support for individuals and families.

As the only Chabad Shluchim serving this area, they are driven with the mission to bring Judaism to every jew and help each person in whatever way needed.

🏆Since 1980, the Simon Rockower Awards have recognized the best in Jewish journalism — and this year, Chabad.org walked away with three of them.

The world's largest Jewish website won top honors at the AJPA's 45th annual conference for coverage spanning the Bondi Chanukah Massacre, the surge of antisemitism rattling Australian Jewry, and a tribute to the legendary Rabbi Sholom B. Lipskar, who spent five decades remaking Jewish life in South Florida.

Due to the limitations of your reality, some of your best friends can enter only incognito.

In fact, the really big ones sometimes sneak in disguised as ugly monsters and vicious enemies. Otherwise, the guards at the gate would never permit them entry.

These are the events optimists call “blessings in disguise.”

Here’s how to fire the guards: Expand your mind, expand your world and sincerely rejoice in whatever G‑d sends you. Then the blessings will be free to enter in all their glory.

Sydney Gathers to Celebrate Launch of Rabbi Eli Schlanger's Book

The book launch of Conversations With My Rabbi, available today from Harpers Influence, drew a large crowd to Chabad of Bondi this morning—the very synagogue where Rabbi Eli Schlanger had served for 18 years before the terrorist attack on the first night of Chanukah at Bondi Beach claimed his life.

Co-authored with Nikki Goldstein, the book grew out of an unlikely friendship forged in a hospital ICU, where Schlanger prayed at Goldstein's bedside when she lay critically ill, and grew after her recovery.

NSW Premier Chris Minns, who attended the launch, said the book allowed him to understand the rabbi he never had the chance to meet. "One of the really wonderful things about this book," Minns said, "is the way it manages to bring Eli's voice back to life."
