Tonight we celebrated our Installation of Officers. We were blessed by the presence of our pastor and Chaplin, our PSD, the Nassau Chapter President and the Treasurer of the Nassau Conference.

A great turnout of members, spouses and families and we only missed one officer!

Introducing Tuesdays with Mary, an opportunity to pray the Rosary outdoors in a "forest bathing" setting and then go on a short walk with other parishioners. Starts Tuesday, September 29th.

Happy (Columbian) New Year to Us All!!!

It is now the middle of July, and councils have passed the baton to their new officers. Together, we forge onward to achieve our goals for the next twelve months. Whether it’s recruiting new members, making a stronger imprint within our Parishes, or in keeping with Blessed Michael McGivney’s founding vision; Create social and economic safety nets for Catholic men, and to provide solutions for
widows and orphans when a father passed away.

Much too Often...

Recently I have had to carry forth the obligation of settling death claims for either a Knight or his Lady. While in the process the most chilling revelation was the statement, “I don’t know what to do next, he/she handled the financial stuff.”
Hearing this more than once, I’ve come to realize of the married couples I sit with, one spouse takes care of the financial management, while the other steps away from the details. On the cover, it makes sense. It, seems efficient, even logical.
But, then, here we are; Life has Changed. And the realization the surviving spouse does not fully understand what they own, what they owe or even how their accounts are structured is nothing short of terrifying.
Avoid seeking financial expertise while in crisis, when emotions are high, options may be limited and costly mistakes may have already happened. Take the call and set a date to sit with me.
I promise, after we meet, both of you will know your numbers, understand what you own and how you own it.
