Today we celebrate the Feast Day of Blessed José Tous y Soler, Capuchin priest (1811–1871). 🙏

After persecution forced the friars from their convents in Spain, Bl. José continued serving the Church with humility, pastoral charity, and deep Eucharistic devotion. Seeing the needs of abandoned children and young women, he founded the Capuchin Sisters of the Mother of the Good Shepherd, dedicating their mission to Christian education and compassionate care.

He died while celebrating Holy Mass — the Eucharist being the center of his life.

May his example inspire us to live with simplicity, charity, and trust in Christ.

Blessed José Tous y Soler, pray for us!

Happy Birthday, St. Padre Pio!

“The most beautiful creed is this:
the sun at night,
the moon by day,
and God in everything.”

May St. Padre Pio inspire us to seek holiness in ordinary life, fidelity in prayer, and trust in God even in suffering.

St. Padre Pio, pray for us!

“There is no greater love than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and pray for the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

May God grant eternal rest to all the faithful departed, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice for others. May He comfort all who mourn their loss and bless those who continue to serve.

St. Michael the Archangel, patron of soldiers, pray for us. 🙏

Happy Feast Day of St. Crispin of Viterbo 🌹

As a child, Pietro Fioretti’s mother brought him before an image of Our Lady and said:

“She is your Mother and your Lady.”

He never forgot it.

The future Capuchin saint lovingly called Mary his “other momma,” built little altars in her honor, sang Marian hymns before leaving home, and spent his life serving the poor, the sick, prisoners, and those who had lost hope.

May we learn from St. Crispin’s simplicity, joy, and tender devotion to Our Lady.

“God’s power creates us, his wisdom governs us, his mercy saves us.”

St. Crispin of Viterbo, pray for us!

Today we celebrate the feast of Saint Felix of Cantalice, the first canonized Capuchin Franciscan.

A simple lay brother who spent decades begging alms through the streets of Rome, St. Felix became known for his joy, humility, prayer, and deep love for the poor.

“Let us go, my Brother, with rosary in hand, our eyes to the ground, and our spirit in heaven.”

As our friars gather this week for Provincial Chapter, may St. Felix pray for our Province, for all Capuchins, and for those discerning a Franciscan vocation.

St. Felix of Cantalice, pray for us!
