Today, the U.S. bishops, including Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre, will consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 4 p.m. ET.

The Archdiocese of Louisville was the top organization donor to the 73rd WHAS Crusade for Children telethon, which concluded June 7 with a total of $6,235,132 in donations.

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s parishes, which held second collections to support the telethon, contributed $311,628 as of June 7.

On June 11, the bishops will consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The Sacred Heart is the love that redeems and saves us, the sign of a God who has so loved the world that He came to be among us. In a polarized society, it draws our attention to the love of the Father revealed in the heart of Christ, and reminds us there is room for everyone in that heart.
