St. Stephen Anglican Church Saint Stephen is the first Kentuckiana community of the orthodox Anglican Church in North America. St.

Stephen Church is rooted in the Anglican and Celtic spiritual traditions. We are a parish of the Anglican Church in North America, and profess the Nicene Creed as it nourished the English speaking peoples, the Universal church of Christ throughout the world and "the blessed company of all faithful people" (BCP 2019, p. 121). We maintain the Holy Eucharist as the central act of Christian worship an

d teach the historic faith with the Book of Common Prayer as the standard of worship and truly believe the Bible in its entirety to be the revealed word of God. The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) unites over 135,000 Anglicans in over 1037 parishes in 30 dioceses, into a single Church. It is a province-in-formation in the global Anglican Communion. Members of ACNA are in the mainstream , both globally and historically, of Christianity - the biblically faithful way of following Christ and being part of the "One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church".

The primary focus of the Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost is anchored in the Gospel. Please have them to me not later than 4:30 PM (EST) so I have time to organize them. See you there.

The focus of the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost is anchored in the Gospel reading, where Jesus rebukes Peter and explicitly defines what it means to be Christian. Believers are called to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Christ. True life is found not by trying to save or preserve it, but by losing it for Christ's sake. We are warned that gaining the whole world is worthless if you forfeit your soul. Please join us on Sunday at 10:30 AM as we are called to a radical restructuring of our personal desires, social relationships, and willingness to endure hardship for the sake of the Gospel.

Please join us this special Instructed Eucharist service. This first session will cover the Liturgy of the Word. Whether you are a lifelong Anglican or new to our tradition or just curious, this service is designed to walk you through the steps of Holy Communion, explaining why we stand, sit, pray, and share the bread and w**e together.
