St. Stephen Anglican Church Saint Stephen is the first Kentuckiana community of the orthodox Anglican Church in North America. St.

Stephen Church is rooted in the Anglican and Celtic spiritual traditions. We are a parish of the Anglican Church in North America, and profess the Nicene Creed as it nourished the English speaking peoples, the Universal church of Christ throughout the world and "the blessed company of all faithful people" (BCP 2019, p. 121). We maintain the Holy Eucharist as the central act of Christian worship an

d teach the historic faith with the Book of Common Prayer as the standard of worship and truly believe the Bible in its entirety to be the revealed word of God. The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) unites over 135,000 Anglicans in over 1037 parishes in 30 dioceses, into a single Church. It is a province-in-formation in the global Anglican Communion. Members of ACNA are in the mainstream , both globally and historically, of Christianity - the biblically faithful way of following Christ and being part of the "One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church".

The Fourth Sunday after Pentecost focuses on discipleship, exploring the cost, trust, and ultimate surrender required of following Jesus. Please have them to me not later than 4:30 PM (EST) so I have time to organize them. See you there.

As Jesus is moved with compassion for the lost and suffering, he calls and sends his people to bring his healing, his hope, and his salvation to the world. The Second Sunday after Pentecost emphasizes that God takes the initiative in calling people into relationship and service. Those called and healed by Jesus are recipients of divine grace before they accomplish anything themselves. God graciously calls ordinary and imperfect people into his covenant life, inviting them to trust his promises, receive his mercy, and participate in his work of bringing healing and hope to the world. Please join us on Sunday at 10:30 AM as we receive compassion, forgiveness, and restoration.

O God, from whom all good proceeds: Grant that by your inspiration we may think those things that are right, and by your merciful guiding may do them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
