โA welcoming church is a place where people from different backgrounds come together and find Jesus at the center of it all. It is a community built not around preferences, traditions, or divisions, but around Christ and His transforming love.
โJesus was full of mercy. He embodied goodness and compassion. He lived a life of holiness while extending grace to those who felt forgotten, rejected, and outcast. Throughout His ministry, He consistently welcomed those whom society often overlooked and invited them into the Kingdom of God.
โAs a church, let us build our life around welcoming people from all walks of life, every ethnicity, culture, and background. Our welcome is not based on human standards but on the invitation of Christ Himself.
โJesus said:
โ"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
โ Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
โBecause Christ welcomes us, we welcome others.
โThe Apostle Peter reminds us that God's grace is extended to all:
โ"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of Godโs grace in its various forms."
โ 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
โGod's grace is rich, diverse, and available to all people. Therefore, as followers of Jesus, we seek to reflect His heart by extending hospitality, kindness, and love to everyone who enters our doors.
โWe welcome youโnot because we are perfect, but because Christ first welcomed us. In Him, there is room for every person to encounter grace, truth, and new life.
