July 19: Pride and Pridefulness - Guest Speaker: Matt Livers
No, this is not a pun on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. In this sermon, Matt Livers will discuss how seeing a loved one’s shared post on Facebook got him thinking more about the word pride with all its various meanings and implications.

Pride is a powerful word with the ability to build community or to harm it. Do we, as community members, have the courage to love ourselves and celebrate our accomplishments as one meaning of pride suggests? Do we also have the courage to acknowledge when we are living apart from others because we feel we are better than them or we do not wish to feel vulnerable in asking for help, or to apologize for our actions, as another meaning of pride suggests? Please come and feel welcomed.”

11am Sunday, June 28
Disciples of Love - Speaker Rev. Jen Youngsun Ryu
As is our tradition on the Sunday after GA, we will be joining UU’s across the country sharing in the annual UUA General Assembly worship that will take place here in Louisville at the Galt House the week before and is recorded for use by UU congregations at a time that fits with their schedules.

About the Speaker: The Rev. Jen Youngsun Ryu (she/her) serves the Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene, arriving in 2021 while the building was still closed and the congregation was finding its way back to one another.
Born in Seoul and raised in Ohio, she found Unitarian Universalism as a young adult in Baltimore and was drawn to a faith that honors both the tough mind and the tender heart. This year, she celebrates the 20th anniversary of her ordination with a steady conviction that our liberal faith, practiced with honesty and love, changes lives for the good.

May 17 at 11am - "Curiosity and Its Cousins: A "Madlibs" Service" - speaker, Rev. Liz Weber. Let's explore May's theme of "awakening curiosity" through the lens of what curiosity often sparks: by turns, excitement and gentleness. How does one spark lead to such different places? What can we learn from these cousins of curiosity?
