The Lutheran Center (UNL)

The Lutheran Center (UNL) Worship during the semester: 11 am on Sunday mornings & 9:15pm on Wednesday evenings.

Our mission is to invite students more deeply into Jesus Christ and the community that bears His name, so they can discover and fulfill their vocation as disciples. We are a campus site of Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministries, an agency of the Nebraska Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Last weekend, students from UNL + UNK gathered at Carol Joy Holling for annual retreat to play and plan a year of living into God’s call for us.

Together we:
-Planned yearly programming
-Participated in team building games
-Caught up over food, hikes, + ziplines
-Worshipped through word and song

Thankful for the time spent together in Christ and with one another!

In simple words?

Nothing feels quite adequate when we look back on the years of ministry Pastor Liz has shared with The Lutheran Center. From countless one-on-one moments of care, to gathering around the DND table, to fearlessly leading a camping trip that got a little windy, words cannot describe our gratitude for moments spoken and unspoken, and always remembered. We give thanks.

Let us pray for Pastor Liz as she embarks on this new vocation in life.

Gracious God, we thank you for the work and witness of your servant, Pastor Liz, who has enriched the Lutheran Center community and shared her gifts with students. Now bless and preserve her at this time of transition. Day by day, guide Pastor Liz and give her what is needed: friends to cheer her way, and a clear vision of that to which you are now calling her. By your Holy Spirit be present in her pilgrimage, that Pastor Liz may travel with the one who is the way, the truth, and the life, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
