📖 Summer Bible Study – Women in the Hebrew Scriptures 📖

Join Rev. Anne Ledbetter and Rev. Susan Phalen for a special summer Bible study series, "Women in the Hebrew Scriptures."

Together, we will explore the lives and faith journeys of the remarkable women whose stories shaped God's people. From well-known figures like Sarah, Ruth, and Esther to lesser-known women whose courage, wisdom, and perseverance continue to inspire us, we will discover how their experiences still speak to our lives and faith today.

⏰ 1:00–2:30 PM
📍 Coolspring Community Hall

This study will be held in person, and this year there is no book required—just bring your Bible!

To help maintain continuity in our discussions, we ask that participants be able to attend at least 4 of the 5 sessions.

Today, we reflected on the power of giving thanks through our Scripture reading from 1 Thessalonians 5:12-18.

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Gratitude isn't just for the easy moments—it is a way of living that carries us through every season. Thank you to everyone who joined us in worship today. May we all go into this week with hearts full of thankfulness, kindness for one another, and a spirit of constant prayer.

What a beautiful and Spirit-filled Pentecost Sunday at Coolspring Presbyterian Church! ❤️🧡💛

Today we joyfully welcomed three new members into our church family, celebrated a special baptism, and shared together in Holy Communion. The sanctuary was filled with the colors of Pentecost — red, orange, and yellow — symbolizing the fire of the Holy Spirit from Acts 2:1-21, while many members wore red in celebration of the day.

Our sermon, “Crazy Rich Spirit,” reminded us that God does not give His Spirit in small drops, but pours it out like a rushing waterfall — overflowing with grace, power, hope, and love for all people. Just as the Spirit moved boldly at Pentecost, we were reminded that God is still moving through His church today.

We also shared excitement about the upcoming 300-year celebration of Coolspring Presbyterian Church, honoring generations of faith, worship, community, and God’s continued blessings through the centuries.

It was truly a joyful day of worship, fellowship, new beginnings, rich Spirit, and gratitude for the past, present, and future of our church family. Welcome to our new members! ✨

We are joyful to welcome all new members who have chosen to join our church family at Coolspring Presbyterian Church.
New members who decide to join will be received by the Session on May 24. We are grateful for each person who becomes part of our growing faith community and look forward to walking together in worship, service, and fellowship.
