Our friends at Sussex Academy went back to school this week. We’ve been praying that the Lord would instill in them a boldness to walk with Him each day of their lives. Lord, may your will be done HERE as in Heaven!

On Saturday, October 3, we’re heading into our community to serve with the hands and heart of Jesus. From meeting practical needs to encouraging people through prayer and generosity, every project is a chance to show our neighbors they are seen and loved.

There’s a place for you, your family, your friends, or your small group.

Serve opportunities include free laundry in Milton, blessing people with gas or groceries, helping local mission partners, cleaning up Broadkill Beach, praying on the Rehoboth Boardwalk, and encouraging healthcare workers.

Before Jesus asked His disciples to serve, He invited them to come away with Him and rest.

We can easily measure our value by what we accomplish, how much we help, or how busy we stay. But Jesus shows us a better way: presence before production. Our service should flow from time spent with Him, not from pressure, exhaustion, or the need to prove ourselves.

If you are running on empty, start here today: make space to be with Jesus.

“Five loaves and two fish” did not look like enough for a crowd of thousands. But it was enough when it was placed in Jesus’ hands.

You may feel unqualified, worn out, or unsure how you can make a difference. Jesus is not asking you to do everything. He is asking you to bring what you have, listen to Him, and take the next faithful step. He can work through your availability in ways you cannot accomplish on your own.
