A Lag Ba'Omer celebration for the books!

You know those evenings when everything just falls into place? The food, the weather, the people, the bonfire, the smores, the games, the music, and did I mention the people??

We learned all about the holiday and dove deeper into the significance of the bonfire and its connection to our Judaism. We drank, ate, talked, smiled and left with our hearts and stomachs full.

BLT for April in the books!

Modesty in Judaism shows itself in many different ways. In the clothing we wear, covering our heads and even the items we purchase.

What's up with the Tallis that men wear when praying? What about the small Tallis that men wear during the day? Why do we cover our heads? Why do women cover their hair?

All this and more was covered!

Can't believe Pesach is over...

What a holiday!

Ensuring that our Jewish seniors still get to participate and experience the holidays even when in assisted living is always a treat!

Thank you to the wonderful (I know we missed some pics of other helpers, sorry about that) helpers who assisted in giving out over 250 matzahs around town!

An incredible Passover seder with over 50 fellow Jews is so beautiful! The energy, discussions and traditions were incredibly powerful. Don't get me started on the food.. (There are no pics due to the prohibition of taking pictures on the holiday)

A fantastic holiday season it was.

Now, onwards to the summer schedule! Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming events, classes and trips(??) coming your way!

Over the past six weeks, twenty dedicated participants joined us for Judaism Decoded, a foundational and stimulating class from the renowned Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) that explored how Jewish law and tradition developed through the chain of the Oral Torah.

Together we traced how interpretation moved from Sinai through the sages of the Mishnah and Talmud, learning how debate, analysis, and tradition created a living legal system that continues to guide Jewish life today.

A huge shout-out to all twenty participants who committed to the journey each week and helped bring the learning to life through thoughtful discussion and curiosity.

That wraps up our winter series! Stay tuned for the summer series 👀
