Voting matter, and we can help support the work!

We've been hiring voter mobilizers across Kansas for the last several years as we participate in The Voter Network's paid relational voter engagement project. Each year, KIFA has some of the highest statistics in voters reached and votes cast.

This year, we have had more interest in our program than ever before, and we have the potential to hire more Team Captains and Mobilizers than we budgeted for! If we can make these hires, we could reach hundreds more voters across our state.

We need to raise $5000 by next Monday, September 22 to support the hiring of these additional folks. Can you help?

Zen Brass is a professional brass septet — three trumpets, three trombones, and tuba — founded in Lawrence, Kansas in 2019. Today the ensemble's members are spread across five states and two countries, coming together for concerts, masterclasses, and educational programming ranging from elementary-age appreciation concerts to university-level residencies. True to its name, the group is built around a simple idea: that music-making is at its best when it's relaxed, centered, and fully present — a philosophy that shapes everything from rehearsal to performance, with a focus on attentive listening and musical connection. The group's repertoire spans Baroque transcriptions to contemporary commissions. Founded and directed by tuba player Dave Swanson, the ensemble's debut album, "Voices of Land and Spirit," is available on major streaming platforms and through zenbrass.com.
