For our next update post on our Silent Auction this weekend we've got this lovely roundup of gift baskets! As with the other items, these will all be available for bid at our event this Saturday evening at Westwood House starting at 5:30 so make sure you're there if any of these items have caught your eye! We're so excited for this weekend to finally be just around the corner and as always all are welcome at our celebration of our ministry's wonderful history here at KU! Rock Chalk Jayhawks!

We've got more pool mats here! These nature-themed pool mats are designed to support 250lbs of whatever you might need out on the water, and they've even got carrying handles for easy transportation to and from wherever you decide to take them!

On this lovely rainy Monday here in Lawrence we've got a beautiful large homemade quilt which will be available in our auction on the evening of 10/30 as part of our celebration of 100 years here on campus. The first item from our upcoming auction we are featuring is this beautiful LCM-KU 100 Year Commemorative Pedestal!

This piece is a custom statue displaying the 3rd iteration of the KU Jayhawk atop a wood pedestal with LCM-KU’s years here on campus in red. In fact, this was the Jayhawk in use when our ministry was founded! Would look great just about anywhere as a proud display of our history!

We'll be hosting our Silent Auction here at Westwood House on the Saturday of our 100 Year Celebration October 29th at 5:30! We'll be posting items here on our page every day leading up to the event! Be sure to RSVP through our website at westwoodku.org/lcm100 so we can get an accurate head count for the weekend. We'll be having a banquet as well and would appreciate if we could be prepared ahead of time for how many we'll be serving. We are asking a $25 donation for those planning on eating at the meal to cover food costs so the sooner we can receive that confirmation from you better!

We have added a form to RSVP for the 100 Year celebration to our website! Let us know when you are able which events you will be planning on attending at your convenience so we can get things organized in advance. We'll be using the info for feedback on which events will need the most staff attention so your input is greatly appreciated! The details of the schedule are on the web page, we will be updating them as we approach the event.

Help celebrate 100 Years of Lutheran presence at the University of Kansas!

Friday, October 28: Evening Prayer at Westwood House followed by fellowship at Fields and Ivy Brewery
Saturday, October 29: special sessions with campus pastors and area clergy, afternoon activities, and celebratory evening banquet
Sunday, October 30: Joint Reformation Sunday Worship (location TBD)

We had a successful turnout both last week and this week, being able to feed around 140 students in conjunction with the Uplift Coffee Food Truck and the help of a generous congregation. At our final worship of the semester this evening, I recognized how truly grateful I am for the students who have been a part of the Westwood House Community this year. God bless them as they head off on their respective journies this summer.
