This morning, our team had the privilege of serving alongside community partners LaAID, Catholic Charities, and Operation HOPE to care for neighbors and families across Acadiana.
Together, we distributed:
🍽️ 120 meals
💧 120 bottles of water
👶 350 diapers
But today was about more than numbers.
It was about showing up.
It was about reminding people that they are seen, that they have dignity, and that they do not have to navigate difficult seasons alone.
At The Salvation Army, we believe loving our neighbor means more than saying the right words. We believe compassion should never depend on where someone was born, what language they speak, or what circumstances brought them to our door. When there is a need before us and we have the ability to help, we serve. We put compassion into motion—serving without discrimination and meeting people with dignity, kindness, and hope.
We are grateful for every organization, volunteer, and community partner who stood shoulder to shoulder with us today.
Different organizations. One community. Neighbors serving neighbors.
