You are warmly invited to join us on Christmas Eve at 5:00 PM for our beautiful, family-friendly Candlelight and Communion Service. FUMC will have a table at the Pride Block party on November 15th. The party runs from 10AM to 5PM, and will involve music, shows, and lots of vendors. Our booth will have cookies, buttons, invitations to worship, and more! Part of the more is the opportunity for people to help create giant wings. Everyone will be given a paper feather to decorate and write on, then attach to the frame of giant wings. This will be a way to engage the community and a photo op! This is a great opportunity to reach out to the community and let them know we really do welcome everyone and put love first.

Join us on Sunday, October 19th as we celebrate 100 years in our Sanctuary and 200 years as a Congregation. This special event is a momentous occasion for our community and we invite you to be a part of it.
Here is the schedule for this very special Sunday!

10:00 AM Gathering (complete with snacks!)
Come early, grab a nametag and a cup of coffee or treat, and enjoy visiting with current and previous members and pastors.

10:30 AM Worship Begins
We’re starting early this week – but it’s going to be worth it!
There will be a brief video history of the church, amazing music, and preaching by Rev. Dr. Weldon Bares, senior pastor at FUMC, Lake Charles. Rev. Bares has a long history with our congregation, having been raised in this church and serving as youth director in the 80’s. Plus, he is an exceptional preacher and you will be blessed and challenged by his message. And then there’s lunch.
