Our dear brother, friend, member, and faithful deacon at VBC, Jonathan Rohde.
It is with great sadness that we share that Deputy Jonathan Rohde passed away this past weekend after a long battle with cancer.
We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, his young children, and all of his family and loved ones. We also want to express our heartfelt condolences to everyone who knew and worked alongside Jonathan. He touched many lives during his time with the Adams County Sheriff's Office.
Jonathan joined the Sheriff's Office in 2017. He began his career as a Detention Specialist before becoming a deputy in November 2017. During his service, he worked in both the Jail and Patrol Divisions. He was assigned to the Booking Unit and the Court Security Unit. Jonathan also served on the Jail Special Operations Group (JSOG), the Mobile Field Force Team (MFFT), and as a Taser instructor.
