Jaime Cortez es un talentoso y reconocido compositor, arreglista e intérprete. Nacido en Nueva York y criado en El Salvador, Jaime ha dedicado parte de su ministerio a promover mejores liturgias hispanas y a unir culturas a través de la adoración. Su instrumento principal es la guitarra, aunque también domina el piano y otros instrumentos de cuerda, como el charango, la vihuela y el bajo. Posee una licenciatura en composición musical de la Universidad Estatal de Arizona. En 2016, fue nombrado Músico Pastoral del Año por la Asociación Nacional de Músicos Pastorales (NPM, por sus siglas en inglés). Actualmente, Jaime se desempeña como director de liturgia y música en la parroquia de Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro (Our Lady of Perpetual Help) en Scottsdale, Arizona. Reside en Mesa junto a su esposa y sus tres hijos, quienes también poseen talento musical.

Jaime Cortez is a talented and popular composer, arranger, and performer. Born in New York and raised in El Salvador, Jaime has dedicated a portion of his ministry to promoting better Hispanic liturgies and bringing cultures together for worship. His main instrument is guitar, though he is proficient in piano and other string instruments, such as charango, vihuela and bass guitar. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music composition from Arizona State University. He was named Pastoral Musician of the Year in 2016 by the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM). Jaime is currently Director of Liturgy & Music at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Scottsdale, AZ. He lives in Mesa with his wife and their three musically talented sons.
