Together, we belong.
Together, we become.
Together, we build.

The gospel brings us together. The church is where we grow together. And our shared mission sends us out together.

God has given each of us different gifts, experiences, and passions—not so we can walk the journey alone, but so we can serve one another, make disciples, and build His kingdom together.

Each of us has been given a part to play. What has God placed in your hands, and how can you use it to serve others?

A new chapter at Calvary. A new season of ministry. And a simple invitation: Let’s be all in—together.

Pastor Chad Ellis shares his heart for the days ahead and his desire to walk this journey with our church family.

We believe God has incredible things ahead! And we’re ready to see what He will do.

Last Sunday we celebrated Pastor Dan’s retirement and all the ways he’s shepherded our church family over the years. We’re deeply grateful for his impact, and for God’s faithfulness through every part of Calvary’s story.

Now we look toward the next chapter! This Sunday, August 30 at 10:45am, Pastor Chad Ellis preaches his first sermon as Senior Pastor, kicking off a new series through the Lord’s Prayer.

Join us in welcoming Chad and Sheri to Calvary! Come with an open heart as we pray for the Ellis family and trust God for what’s ahead. We can’t wait to see what He does in and through Calvary in the days to come!

There are people around us who feel overlooked. People carrying shame. People who feel forgotten. People wondering if they really belong.

Grace makes room.

Who could you invite in? Who could you notice? Who could you encourage? Who could you simply sit with?

The King made room for us. Let’s make room for others.

In 2 Samuel 9, Mephibosheth came to the king expecting judgment. Instead, he found grace.

He didn’t earn his place at the table. He didn’t have to prove himself worthy. The king sought him, welcomed him, restored him, and gave him a place to belong.

And that’s the beauty of the gospel: we come to the table not because of what we’ve done, but because of Jesus.

May we be people who have received that kind of grace—and who make room for others to experience it, too.

Today was Pastor Dan’s last Sunday with us after 41 years at Calvary.

The story he chose to close with was one he preached soon after he first arrived: a king who goes looking for someone with nothing to offer him, welcomes him in, and brings him to the table anyway.

In so many ways, that story has been the thread woven through these 41 years: grace.

Thank you, Dan and Kathy, for pouring that grace into Calvary for four decades. We are deeply grateful for you and the legacy you leave with us. 💙

We loved getting to be part of UT’s Student Engagement Fair this afternoon, meeting students who are looking for ways to get connected, find community, and get involved! Our Calvary college ministry team had the chance to meet students, share what’s happening at Calvary, and remind them that there’s a church family just steps from campus ready to welcome them.

We’re grateful for every conversation, every new connection, and every opportunity to point students toward a place to belong. 🧡

Welcome to Rocky Top! We’re glad you’re here. 🏔️

The Shepherd remains.

When what is familiar changes, Jesus does not.

When we don’t know what comes next, He does.

When we feel uncertain, He gives peace.

When He calls us forward, He equips us.

And when seasons change, His covenant remains secure.

Our future is not held together by familiarity, a pastor, or a particular season of church life.

It is held by Jesus.

“The Great Shepherd of the sheep” is still leading His church.
